This is the absolute best discussion that I've heard coming from Cornel West. I have been listening to Dr. West all across the internet and some discussions were rambling and not pointed and accessible to many people. This was. This is exactly why I intend to vote for Dr. West. While I do not agree with some of his analysis concerning Russia and China, his moral and intellectual prowess are overwhelming and I must acknowledge how much better he is as a potential leader than anything on offer by the two major parties. I'm not worried that a vote for West might be construed as a vote for Trump. It isn't. It's a vote for honesty, for equality, for vision and for change. I cannot throw away what might become the very last free vote on a lesser of two evils like Biden. If I intend to fight for freedom, for democracy and for people like me then I have to stand up for principle. It's West for me if he's on the ballot and I will write his name in if he's not.

I also want to thank you for spending time talking about LandBack. As a white settler on Treaty 1 territory, here in so-called Canada, I find this to be a consistent 'roadblock' in conversation, and I often struggle to find ways in which to further engage people, and help them to understand it beyond the white settler lens. I like the knowledge of Cornell West when it come to American history. The original draft of the Constitution stated that it would protect private property (you know whose private property) and to look after the interests of the wealthy landowners and slave holders. That did not go over well with the poorer landowners and Shays Rebellion happened in which the private armies of the wealthy beat them back. After the introduction of the Bill of Rights, most people were placated.

Private property rights (and the Gutenberg press) ended the Dark Ages of 1,000 Years, during which the Crown and the Pope owned all property and thought. Growing up a Catholic and in a time when liberation theology was more popular than today, I recognize the importance of soul in resisting the dehumanizing nature of modern day life and the systems of alienation we try to exist in. Nonetheless, I view the Abrahamic religions as part of the problem. These three main religions fit themselves very well to conquest and genocide. There is all this nonsense about chosen people and promised lands in the scriptures. And then there is the idea that your god is the true god and the rest of the world needs converting to your vision, because they're heathens. Personally, now, I feel spiritual only with nature as the god-ness. I guess being among rocks and plants and animals comes close to what people feel in a church, mosque or synagogue The land is sustenace for my body and mind. There is no duopoly of mind and matter and Nature is not about one dominating another or being better than another, it is about balance.

All American Presidential hopefuls need to prioritise Tribal Sovereignty and reconfiguring institutions around a healthy system. Massive bribes will confront them anyway.
