Thank you very much, Mr. Alizadeh and Mr. Dan Kovalik, for this excellent interview! What an honest conversation and clear reflection! I listened to your questions and their answers with shared sadness. Their portrayal and management of expectations were very realistic about BRICS and the dynamics of the existing global system! How right Dan was, that people in the West have turned Palestine into a weekend affair. The only university that I know of that has declared a 4-day strike in this regard and professors and students have stopped working is the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The situation is very dangerous for the Palestinians. Thanks again!

I hope he will, too. The message on what people in ‘the west’ would have to do (resأst “in a way that makes a difference…,” لohn Br٥wn, etc.) should be repeated over and over before/until it’s banned by Big Sibling. If he does come on the show, it would also be important to clarify something people may mistakenly take away from this message: the point is NOT that the popular activities (protests, demos, etc) stop. Indeed, that could be fatal. Rather, they must increase, *alongside* the other/more “effective” forms. On their own, yes, such tactics of protest, etc are insufficient. But they are still necessary-as something of a popular cradle within the west. Firstly and most importantly, for PåIestأnians in their full-spectrum of reىiىtance (taziz al-sumud). We know they see it, they call for it, and they do it themselves. Just as the free and valiant Yemeni people do week after week by the millions-alongside and in support of their brothers conducting reىiىtance activities. And secondly, for those in the west who could & would step up. For the same reasons just mentioned re PåIestأnian & Yemeni reىiىtance. (Note for example how week after week, phase after phase, AbduI-MaIik Badr al-Din aI-H٥uthi stresses this point and calls on the masses to show up.) Dan’s thoughtful and brutal honesty, clearly rooted in rev٥Iuti٥nary love and solidarity, is admirable and powerful. It should energize like a good smack in the face, and not be misunderstood or used as an excuse for defeatism. 1:22:43 Thanks for the work you do. Free PāIestأne

Thank you for speaking so matter-of -factly. I liked it when you said , "What am I supposed to do? Get a gun?" That 's exactly how I feel every day.! I am an older Jewish person who was raised to believe that usa proponents of Judaism were dedicated to peace and not supposed to have a state until after the Messiah comes and sanctions one. The fact that Jewish persons are now slaughterers comes as such a shock that who ever I am is gone. Incomprehensible. I am a fugitive, homeless from my moral compass, powerless and so lucky to not be a Gazan that shame stalks me day and night. What can we do to force our government ?
@موسى_720 сағат бұрын
What can you do? God doesn't change the condition of a people until they change themselves, according to the Quran. I suggest you research the prophecies of Prophet Daniel. Learn about Shia Islam. Then you may see a whole new world open up to you.
@OneOopsimath16 сағат бұрын
they are the ones who have lost their moral compass. People have to ask themselves what are the limits of what they are physically able to do. Then what they are currently willing to do. Then be honest about why the gap, and how much can they close the gap. And join radical anti-imمerآaIist organizations (“radical” in the traditional sense of the word, as opposed to “extreme” which is how many seem to use it). Or if you don’t know of any, ask around at the next local protest. Or else start a study group, even with one other person. The point is to proceed with others, not as individuals, and to determine together how to best contribute. Also, while not sufficient, it’s important to help people in Gāżå resist and simply survive (‘taziz al sumud’) by providing material support if you can. Ideally not via the NGOs which are between problematic and destructive. The Sameer Project is wonderful, driven by Palestinians on the ground and coordinated with others in the diaspora. Municipality of Gaza (@ munigaza on Twآtter) is another good option.

With regards to Brics, somewhere (I can't remember where) Michael Hudson stated BRICS economists are not Marxists economists and many studied in western countries. Since the discipline of economics is ideologically-dependent (it's not a science), Kovalic raises a good point that BRICS is not a leftist organization but an attempt to get around the dollar.
@BettBeat_MediaКүн бұрын
We discussed that with Michael on our show. Do come have a look. It is a very recent discussion.
@موسى_720 сағат бұрын
I disagree with the idea that economics is ideological rather than scientific. Economics can be studied scientifically as many people do, it's just that economics is still in the early stages of science where we still don't know much, so ideological hypothesises play a bigger role than proven facts. Other sciences such as physics used to be like economics, and physicists were philosophers as much as they were scientists. Economics is today divided between left, right, and centre just as physicists were once divided between the camp who believed light was a particle and those who believed it was a wave, until we learnt that light was both a particle and a wave simultaneously.

Iranians are every right to choose their leaders,but the trouble is they are wrapped up in the West,not realising West Wants Iran as an entity with no real Sovereignty,weak n helpless where it comes to its resources n being subservient to Israel. The facts they ignore: they want Azadi of bum n booze openly,especially women who are so influenced by West's dress code to walk half dressed on the streets,that is their sense of Azadi....least realising Azadi is in education, exploration of cultural heritage,traditions,understanding the world around, being economically independent n have sipiritual awakening to understand the connection with the self. That is totally missing,nose jobs n low clevages don't bring that bliss. Self empowerment is combination of so many things,one of that is to be loyal to your country,not to betray it......Iranians within n outside Iran also work for agencies that are hell bent to destroy Iran for the gratification of their Agenda. Shah did it,but when time came he was ditched by the West,especially, by US......Think about it dear Iranians. ..

Correct and well-stated! Iranians already have most of those freedoms anyway, it's just that they want them officially. The problem is when the zios put economic sanctions on a country, they couple that with a massive wave of 24/7 propaganda. This is the era of hybrid warfare. These iranians are told if you submit to us like KSA or Turkey or UAE, you will be even richer than those because you are more educated and have more resources. So between themselves and a fairy tale life, they see a governing system that is trying to deprive them of that. They believe what they hear in media from western sources as if it's the gospels.

I watched the whole program twice just to be sure that I heard Dan correctly. I believe Dan had hoped for far more from the resistance and was disappointed. I have the feeling that he was looking at Israel/ Palestine conflict(genocide), through a magnifying glass. And as an American he correctly recognized that the U.S and Israel will do every evil possible to keep Israel afloat, ie giving the genocidal regime 2000 lb bombs to level whole blocks in southern Lebanon just to kill one person, Nasrallah. The very definition of barbarism. I have learned to analyze something one must focus on that issue microscopically and then look again in a macroscopic way. I Believe Dan told us his microscopic view on Palestine /Israel conflict, and in that sense he is correct to assume that the evil side has won. But have they really won if we look at this in a macroscopic way? Israel has had its Northern border decimated by daily attacks from Hezbollah , and it is estimated that over 50k settlers have fled the area. The Port of Haifa has declared bankruptcy and for the first time negative migration of the settlers from occupied Palestine is a daily occurrence. Let’s not forget that the ICC and ICJ have both condemned the Israeli genocide, and warrants have been issued for prime minister and his defense minister. Israel as an apartheid terrorist state has been condemned in every civilized culture except the uncivilized west and its fat belly Arab lap dogs. Additionally, Israel inflicted grave damage to the image of the empire of lies thus diminishing its soft power. Battle ground Reports points to thousands of wounded and dead Israeli soldiers. Furthermore, Israel has also managed to cause more hatred of the Jews throughout the world. 15 month into this war, Hamas and Hezbollah are still in the game , and Yemen is doing an absolute superb job of keeping the enemy in check with daily doses of hypersonic missiles. I see more hope for Palestine 🇵🇸 and the axis of resistance in the future. Axis of resistance is indeed alive and well .The fight to victory ✌️ will continue with or without Russia and China. And the people to accomplish this historical task are the justice seeking people of Iran. The brave people of Iran have suffered much under the back breaking American sanctions, but they will continue the fight for the freedom, justice and liberty of the Palestinians. I once heard a man from Yemen in an interview after the British/American aggression against his country say, “ we can live without electricity and telephone, but we can not live without our honor.” It is extremely hard for me to understand why a person of Dan’s stature would throw in the towel at such crucial moment? I found the last 5 minutes to be the most important part of this conversation. Let’s not forget that Zionism is racism and as such it will not last. Thank you both 🇵🇸
@OneOopsimathКүн бұрын
Appreciate this. Just on the point of throwing in the towel, I think some of what he said sounded like that but then he made the definitive clarification at 1:28:32 : “I’m not saying we should stop resitsting, I’m saying the oppsite! We need to commit everything to stopping this. We have to commit our lives.” It’s a wake up call. He’s smacking everyone in the face (including himself), saying we need to adjust and double down because what we’ve been doing isn’t working. But, crucially, he’s not sending the message that we are unable to resist effectively, which would be defeatist, throwing in the towel, and wrong. On the contrary, he’s saying we do have the potential, we should step up and use it, now, and the only question is whether we have the will. A sobering but necessary message, imho.

Thank you great as always. I don't believe we saw sanctions alone defeating Syria, the broader strangling of the economy and infiltration from abroad brought the circumstances for defeat. The arab league "investments" along with occupation played a major role. In a decade Syrias economy shrank to one tenth. Turkey also played a major role by physically dismantling Syrian industry. Iran has major difficulties, internal and sanctions, but it's different from the one in Syria.

I am new to this channel, but I follow many independent analysts. All those on the left of the western camp, although very thorough and logical, ignore or dont recognise the importance of ideological coherence. Perhaps they try to look at the whole picture from the Real Politic angle. you have nailed it perfectly. While real politic looks at the world from the mechanics of power politics it seems that it ignores the role of ideology in making of political history going all the way back to the dawn of Christianity and even further back.

The West's scenario goes like this: Iran is a country which binds whole Asia together and makes Eurasian integration much more robust process. Also Iran pushes Western imperialism out of the Middle East and does not give full hegemony to the US over one of the most strategically important region in the world. At the same time, Iran is the weakest link in Eurasian trio of Russia-China-Iran. The US cannot afford itself to confront directly to Russia and China. Thus, in the nearest future, Iran will be the main target of the US to break this Eurasian chain of integration. But it will not be direct big war against Iran. It looks counterproductive and quite risky. Executive plan goes like this: The US with Israel will eliminate Iran's whole strategy of forward defense, also called as Axis of Resistance. They will try to destroy Hezbollah, Houthis and PMU in Iraq. This way the US will avoid big wars. Also Israel will annex the West Bank and later Gaza. Leaving without its regional allies and active anti-Zionist regional policy, theocratic regime will be politically bankrupt to be in power, because they will lose all its ideological legitimacy they have been creating for decades. So, there will be huge skepticism towards the theocracy even in its diehard supporters. This creates fertile situation of regime change in Iran from within. This scenario is feasible especially when Iran's new liberal government does not have any intentions to engage in regional resistance actively. They will be outmaneuvered by fake nuclear negotiations by the West to prevent them from creating nuclear deterrence. But I doubt that even acquiring nuclear deterrence will prevent Islamic Republic from this kind of demise. Also have in mind, that Ayatollah is quite old and soon there will be leadership crisis too in Iran.

If Pakistan has their nuclear bombs as a deterrent to the Indian treat therefore logical dictates Iran must do the same if the country is going to stay whole! If all the Arabs and Turkey area in the sides of the West why Iran should sacrifice itself for a lost cause. One would have expected protests and uprising in these countries in order to bring an end to this conflict and force a solution to bring a neutral Palestinian state in to existence. Sadly the money and interest and the systems are all created by the Colonial powers. Buy it’s amazing why the regular Muslims in these neighborhoods countries staying silent!
