I've been having some problems with the editing in my videos ever since I started this channel. Please bear with me. I will hopefully be getting a new computer, with new software, this year. Thank you again for anyone that views my videos :)

If we go by the old EU, this is a hard sell, if we go by the current canon, it’s a virtually impossible one as evidence by operation cinder.

Another thing to consider. Think about all the planetary systems that relied on The Empire and the backlash that would ensue after The Rebellion won. Thousands of star systems completely dependent on The Empire suddenly ended all because The Rebellion won. When you really think about it, there are heroes on both sides

3:11 Don't forget the Hutts in Tatooine established a slavery based system that runs its economy, and which can be touched even by those so-called "anti slavery decrees".

seeing how the stormtroopers acted in ep4 in the space port and cloud city leaving the locals mostly alone, didn't even try to brake open a locked door C3PO and R2 was hiding in and even came to assist the cantina when a shooting happened i'd have taken rule under the empire.

To those comparing Palpatine to Ceasar. Remember that Julius used an already broken system controlled by a few families ruling through corruption and nepotism, broke down what was left, and brought an end to more than a hundred years of civil war. Rooting out and executing traitors while granting clemency wherever he could, he gave the working class a voice in the senate when before they had none and allowed slaves to earn their way out of slavery and become fully recognized citizens and when he died, his killers were ostracized and hunted not by military, but by the people, chased out of the city forced into exile. Palpatine orchestrated conflicts that divided the republic and manipulated the various individuals that abused the system, including the crime lords. He did nothing for the lower classes, nor did he reform the systems relying on social status. Ceasar worked to make his people stronger while Palpatine worked to make himself stronger. Ceasar was elected by his people, Palpatine was elected by himself.

The reason the empire is bad is because of the Sith, remove that but keep a competent leader, and the empire is the best

the Empire was great at doing one thing starting Civil Wars for example how they implement laws that essentially alienate vast sections of their own citizenry Their anti alien agenda drove a lot of people to the rebellion, not to mention all of the genocide and slavery only help bolster opposition and despite The Galactic Senate being Severely flawed it’s still offered a voice of The peoples concerns and when you get rid of that you’re left with a military governing system giving the Imperial Moths leave the ability to supply under the hell out of systems the Empire was destined to fail anyway as soon as Emperor Palpatine kicked the bucket i’ve got assassinated like you did in return of the Jedi the entire empire with just fracture as it would fall into a civil war so know the Empire didn’t improve the Galaxy it only made things worse at least under the Republic they didn’t go around genocide in entire population centres this isn’t a defence of the Republic which is undoubtably I failed Regine due to the amount of corruption that fester in the government however in many ways the Empire didn’t make things better but they only made things worse and the actions of the Imperial military started a civil war perhaps the empire could’ve thrived under different leadership perhaps if they had reformed the Democratic elements and rooted out corruption in the Senate as well built a more stable economy one that didn’t rely on punder perhaps the Empire could have lasted for centuries but but under Palpatine, Darth Vader, Tarkin The Empire just wasn’t sustainable

problems i have with the empire (besides the obvious brutal approach to everything) 1. palpatine wanted to rule indefinitely not for life INDEFINITELY. So with no line of succession any flaws in policy n governance would remain forever. 2. the empires humans first agenda, i know its largely glossed over/absent in the films but still a regime that claims to represent everyone when really disenfranchising 99% of the population? 3. the empire is seen as objectively good because disney trashed the rebellion/new republic. they turned them into clowns who buried their heads in the sand and made them the government in name only. None of it makes any logical sense it was all done to recycle the galactic civil war storyline. I know the conflict isnt as black n white as were led to believe but id still vouch for rebels/new republic (legends ed) over the empire/first order

You should check out the EU and it's leaders post-rotj. Thrawn, Natasi Daala, Ardus Kaine (Even tho he was Pentastar Alignment), Warlord Zsinj and his Imperial faction and the Teradoc brothers leading their "Greater Maldrood". Post-ROTj Imperial factions are the best Empire factions to live under. I'd certainly choose between either Maldrood or the Alignment. But after that even under the true Empire, Pellaeon later on with ruling is more ideal.

This channel is an adults take on the Star Wars universe & I love it 🔥 The Empire was 1000% right in his model , formation etc 20 year rule of that regime did more for that galaxy then that stupid galactic republic ever did in 1000’s of years prior 🤣🤷🏾♂️ Proof in the pudding though is this; When the “New Republic” got formed after the empire fell its like the galaxy went back into what it was & that was one big mess 😂😂😂😂 The rebels & Jedi only hated said faction because it effected them directly but other then that the Empire as a government power house wasn’t wrong. #LoveTheChannel

The problem with the Republic is that while it can deal with outside threats it can't deal with internal ones. While they had Sith Empires to fight they all had common groud. But for the last 1000 years there wasn't any threat so they grew complacent. There were some who weren't but the majority focused more on how they can line their pockets rather then all problems in the galaxy, the fact that Hutts, the Crime Lords of Star Wars, have about a third of the galaxy under them should be proof enough of the incompetence government. The Sith didn't need to do much but use what was already there, Palpatine simply used the already existing tension with the Core and Outer Rim, supposedly part of the Republic but don't recive any benefits for being a part of it, but instead was being used. Corporations have representatives but some parts of the galaxy don't. The fact that the Empire could even be argued to be an improvement, despite its many, many faults is a disappointing showing for the Republic.
