Another thing Scott, when a corpse has a laser rifle or laser pistol, don’t dismiss them out of hand. I know they look like they do low damage, but don’t forget that they haven’t been repaired yet, and that your skill with laser weapons is low. Better to grab those weapons and repair them by combining them, and then you can either save them in your bedroom filing cabinet for later use (if you use skill points for laser weapons), or you can then sell them for big bucks to buy ammo that you need.

That Ferrel Ghoul had a carton of cigarettes on him. You have to grab that stuff because it’s low weight high value. You need to adapt to more of a scavenger mentality so you always have bottle caps to buy ammo and stim packs. Also, save up to buy the medical station for your home from Moira Brown. You will never again have to waste bottle caps on the doctor to fix you up. The medical cart is expensive, but long term it’s false economy to keep losing caps at the doctor.

Good morning Scott. As you were moving around in the hallways of the Jefferson Memorial, I noticed you don’t really make use of your “Local” map. The world map gives you a Birds Eye view of the entire wasteland, but opening up your “Local” map gives you a map of whatever building or subway/dungeon you are walking around in. It helps to see where you need to go back to and to see where you have yet to explore.

Scott, anytime you are looting a dead person, make sure to grab any ammo they have, even if it’s ammo for weapons you don’t have. Ammo takes up no weight, and can either be used later in weapons down the road, or you can sell it at Flak and Shrapnel for the ammo you do use.

Sorry to infoorm you, but Animal Friend is really limited use perk. You should've gone with Scrounger to find more ammo

You are looting a shelf and see 2 pistols. Do you: A) Grab the pistols to repair your pistol? B) Grab the pistols to repair themselves and then sell for a lot of bottle caps, to buy ammo and stim packs? C) Decide that you don’t like pistols and don’t want to touch them? D) Declare that you already have a damaged pistol and forget all the good reasons why you should pick them up?
