and the finale of this story, involving Dorn, on the anniversary of my first 1k subscribers, which was in large part thanks to the Dorn vs Fulgrim moment! The closure here is spectacular, Dorn shaken but successful against one of the primary gods of chaos is a fantastic bitter-sweet high point surrounded by the misery of the end of the heresy. If you enjoyed please like, comment and subscribe! More videos still to come! My thanks for watching!

It cannot be understated that Rogal Dorn defeated Khorne through sheer stubborn force of will. He truly is Rogal Dorn the Unyielding.

Didn't just defeat Khorne. Part of the surprise in this section is that he spent centuries under siege, caged in an endless desert, and then he's the one who broke through! The only ding against Dorn is that he doesn't put together the power of Talk no Jutsu.

When Dorn wielded a sword, it was to make plans, to swear oaths to his fallen sons, to carry out his duty, never as an indulgence. But most importantly of all, he had no hesitation in dropping it if it meant saving a life. He was unyielding in his principles and that allowed him to defy even the maddened gods.

I am angry that just like Malcador is known as Malcador The Hero, Rogal Dorn isn't called Rogal The Unyielding
@No_Name_Provided7 ай бұрын
If you can trust the fandom wiki, he kinda is: --- "Rogal Dorn, known as "The Vigilant," the "Praetorian of Terra" and the "Unyielding One," and to his gene-sons by the "wall-name" of "Defiance," was the primarch of the Imperial Fists Space Marine Legion and one of the greatest heroes in the history of the Imperium of Man." --- Quite literally: Rogal Dorn, the Unyielding One.
@daylightwall53006 ай бұрын
Other primarchs were manipulated by others or bad circumstances into worshipping the Gods, while Dorn resisted corruption from one of them directly. “There are no gods. Not even you.”

Only Fabius bile can match the stubbornness of rogal dorn when it comes to gods
@seekingabsolution19075 ай бұрын
That's kind of a philosophical distinction at that point. Like, they have great knowledge, power, and life span which greatly surpasses any mortal man, and they're even ethereal creatures. It is easy to see why some call them gods, but they do not meet all definitions of godhood so there's an argument for either. Personally I think that the Ctan were the most legitimate claimants to deity status in the 40k setting. They are as old as nearly all existence, tied to fundemental aspects of reality and are immortal. Creatures of the warp in 40k require some foundation in the experience of living things to come into being sustain themselves, the C'tan on the other hand, they just are. Granted they used to just be gas clouds which somehow tied into the foundations of reality, but that's still pretty deific.

I've long been a fan of the VII legion, but never cared much for Dorn. He was just not particularly interesting compared to his other brothers. Abnett did an absolutely spectacular job with him in this and Saturnine and really gave him the personality he deserved. He and Sigismund do an excellent job showing how "boring" characters can be interesting.

TTS made me love dorn tbh but this confrontation with Khorne is just awesome.

Dorn is still pretty boring. Sigismund is a far better character. Its the curse of the 7th. Whole bunch of great marines but the most interesting primarch of all the legions
