This Celica build has been fun to watch, love the Graphics, love the Sabbath shirt, the car looks like new. Your test drive will be fun I’m sure. I graduated in 1984 and our auto shop students along with the skilled teachers help built a Celica (year ? Can’t remember) It was a first Gen. they put a Chevy big block 454 in it called it the Chevota and it ran high 9’s 1/4 mile. Always loved the look of that car and this one is awesome too.

I used that rubber coating in a can on the rubber bumpers of my XJS. The original rubber was horribly sun damaged and pitted, I didn't want to try and fill the original material as filler wouldn't have been flexible enough. I power sanded off the oxidised layer and that rubberised coating filled in the remaining porous surface beautifully. They look like they would have when they left the factory and are ridiculously easy to repair if I ever need to.

Recently got a new refrigerant recovery machine at work - it uses an oil free compressor to vacuum everything out, which is really nice, far less maintenance. It's also very small, light, easy to carry. Still need to use a scale, but it beats lugging a heavy cart around.

Sarah, your vinyl gold graphics is gas permeable meaning; any air trapped under the vinyl will self heal and allow the trapped air to leak or gas out thru the vinyl. In the sign industry, we work with large sheets of the stuff and bubbles trapped under the surface is inevitable. Time and patience is required. It's pretty forgiving stuff and you handled it quite well. The Supra needed that gold graphic. Now, the whole car is better than new, thanks to your dedication to detail.

I'm a little late to the party but new subscriber here that's been binge -watching your videos. I love those second gen Celica Supras. I remember walking home from high school and stopping by the Toyota dealer on the way and drooling over the white one they had in the showroom. I was 13 at the time and was in love with that car. The 5M-GE engine was the same one my family had in the 82 Cressida. What a nice sounding smooth engine, even if it only had 145 hp.
