We are Duca and Roberta, a Brazilian couple that during a sabbatical trip in 2016 decided to follow our dream. So, we created "Odd Life Crafting", a project composed of many smaller projects that we call seasons.
The first one was the creation of Odd Life Crafting. The idea was to build a metal boat to be able to travel the world taking our house with us, but we didn't have money for that. So, we started the next season: we built a tiny shipping container house with no prior experience in building to gain some skills to build a boat. When we were almost finished we found a boat 700km away from our hometown that was neglected for over 22 years and we spent 2 years refitting her (Season 3). The last season has been a dream coming true… we are exploring the Brazilian coast with OUR BOAT that we called Odd.. But wait? What happened to the house? Don't give up. My wife also has endometriosis and the doctors said it will be very difficult to have children. Today our children are 24 and 26 years old.

Thirty years ago, after endometriosis surgery we were told that it would be impossible for my wife to carry to term. Our daughter is now 28, and we have 2 beautiful granddaughters. Do not ever give up hope!

My wife had endometriosis for many years. We tried having children for 7 years and were unsuccessful. We tried invitro and the GIFT and nothing worked. So we started down the adoption road, which takes a long time as well. Just before we pulled the trigger on the adoption process, we tried the GIFT one last time and it worked! We ended up having twin boys in 1991, and they now both have families of their own. We are grandparents three times over! So don't give up. And G-d willing, you'll have kids of your own. Hi both. 45 years ago we were walking in your shoes with very few options. It was the most stressful and testing time of our marriage of 53 years. We adopted 3 beautiful babies who grew into the most wonderful people. 5 grandchildren keep us on our toes. Our lives are complete. My advice, don't give up. Run down all of your options. And by far the most important, be kind to yourselves and each other. My best wishes go with you both.

I also went through IVF not working before getting diagnosed with silent endometriosis. I did treatment for that and then was able to have an embryo transfer work. Absolute best wishes for you guys! Infertility is its own special hell.

I found out about my endometriosis because we couldn’t have kids and the doctor thought I had silent endometriosis but when he started asking about symptoms I could have I found out it was not silent because I had many symptoms 😁 I did surgery in 2014, I had parts in my intestines (I took 15cm of it), in my bladder and many other places. The surgery took 7 hours 😬. I’ve been free of new focus since then, but the quality of my eggs is not good and now I’m 40 and I have a small amount of not good quality eggs 😔 we are gonna try IVF once again 💕 thanks for sharing your experience
