Farmer on the Prairie is about my life on our central Illinois farm. My name is Seth and I am a young farmer with the desire to get things done and to keep the farm running smoothly. The farm is 740 row crop acres and 100 acres of pasture. We run about 100 grass-fed cattle and 1500 meat birds a year. Throughout my videos, you will get to know Dad, Momma D, and Sister. Nothing wrong with ripping . Allows moisture and roots to travel into the soil . Honestly the type of inline ripping your doing is minimal tillage. Great video !

let the scruff grow out a little more, looked awesome the way it was before the last shave. Nothiing wrong with looking good. hope you have your minds set for the long run on the organic farming. Lots of things can change before you start making your investment back. you gonna keep the place when your parents retire? I like your videos

Just take steps, you can’t rush in to organic. Organic no till is an art, it can be done, but their are all kinds of in the middle things you can try as you learn what works and what doesn’t. Some things work on some of the ground I farm, but not other ground only a few miles away. That tool isn’t pulling real hard from what I see, that must be really mellow ground.

You work such long hours! And obviously its getting cold. Lots of work setting up for organic- an entirely different way of doing things. Used to live next to an organic farm. They had to be very creative with pest control.
