I wish you all the best! I have so enjoyed my voyeuristic participation in your sailing adventures, truly well done! I have to say, as a 66 year old Dad, being that is my finest life adventure. The rock climbing, whoring, motorcycling, racing motorcycle building, world adventuring, have all been so great, being a Dad plays off all of those and more, and in return enhances my pursuits. I'm an accomplished cook, ( hobby), and when it was my turn to bring the snacks to Little League, I took over the top seat of the short bleachers, put out the buffet snacks, no one was paying attention to the kid's game... What a crack-up! Build stories!

To stop mould leave a cheap dehumidifier set to 55% RH (relative humidity) parked in a lower part of the boat. And run the drain pipe to a seacocks. Run an extension lead from the mooring or where it's parked. They come on for about 2 hours every 24 hours and keep the air crispy dry, preventing mould and corrosion

Your first baby freaks you out. I went from a long-haired gigging musician to working in a grocery store with my dad's hair. We came around after a bit. Once you understand that you're probably not going to get this thing killed, life starts to return to normal. The second and third kid can be raised in a duffle bag hanging from a hook somewhere below deck and turn out to be the smartest, most wonderful person you'll ever meet. I think B.C. is pretty nice this time of year and you will get the benefit of that grey rainy time to encourage you to get that kidlet some sealegs before long. So just accept that those feelings and fears are all part of the journey and that they help to make you a good protective parent that can see the difference between real danger and just growing up. Also, watch Ben develop those amazing "Dad" reflexes. They will be something if you can capture them on camera. Bon voyage Nahoa!
