It can be emotional during these transitional periods of life's adventures. My wife and I have survived many of them, sometimes you feel like crying waiting for the next step to begin or completion. We have been to many of the places you traveled in the USA but none of the ones you experienced with your boat. We love your channel for filling in that part. We are experiencing what can be called final phase of something called retirement. We are in our late 70s and enjoying this final phase like two children that have freedoms we could only dream of. So many memories of people places and things. We have no schedules to worry about, but it seems there is always a to do list that has no ending and a cat and dog that demand attention, but they give so much love back who can resist spoiling them. To get to this part of life and think there is nothing left would be unthinkable, we have the memories past, the memories we make today, and the future ones will be the best. There is never enough time and yet we have all the time in the world. I look forward to your new adventures as they will be part of the memories, we make in the future ahead. May the Lord make your life as rich as our have been. Thans for sharing your life's stories. Ray

Oh Lord, I can't believe this leg of the journey is over, I remember being so psyched when you switched from driving to sailing, you certainly logged up the nautical miles over this old salt, and every week was a new adventure, I cried so much over dropping off the cats, and Cleo's death, leaving the RV, learning to sail, and taking the helm with so much confidence and a bit of grit. Lots of whiskey, and a bit of champagne, you completely rebuilt Curiosity, and I recall every time something major broke how your repair list got longer, and longer. So happy when you sailed into my happy place, Tahiti, and took the South Pacific sail from Bolivia like complete champs, some of the 30 to 50 knotter's that I used to love on my Morgan make me think that I now at 75, was I was a crazed lunatic. Jason and his seasick times, and Nikki with her night shifts, the delightful faire that came from the galley that Nikki so amazingly put together, and Jason's finesse at anything technical. You both know exactly how to capture an audience. The charm you elude, the laughter so many thanks for another brilliant adventure, Curiosity seems to have lovely people taking over her bow, and you left her positively shinning for a vessel starting its third life. Thank You Nikki and Jason I loved this ride, and look forward to the all-new Curiosity II. Love Kate...

Wynns - Regarding your South Island travels, I used to live in Christchurch and have a suggestion. Your route down the east coast, while it will be very nice, is mostly coastal plains. That route will deprive you of seeing those magnificent Southern Alps, something you should not miss. I suggest that you travel from Christchurch and go south via: Rt 79 to Fairlie, Rt 8 to Lakes Tekapo and Pukaki, Rt 80 to Mt. Cook, Rt 8/Rt 6 to Wanaka, Cardrona Valley Rd and Rt 6 to Queenstown. Driving to Milford Sound will produce lifetime memories. Spectacular. And please don't miss Mt. Cook. I know it's the middle of the winter, but I have driven these routes in mid-winter and had no problems. Just pay attention to the weather. I suggest driving to Milford Sound instead of tramping the Routeburn track (there are winter warnings out for that track). As for the west coast, prepare for rain! Regardless of your route you will have a wonderful time. Stay safe. Bob

Nelson is a must see, Takaka is a must see and the bays around Golden Bay and Fairwell spit. God, there is soo much to see. The Catlyns (sp) way down the south island below Dunedin are also incredible... take lots of warm gear and be ready for it to be wet. There's a stack of snow in Queenstown too..

1)General South Island recommendation: if you’re somewhere in the weekend, check if there is a farmers market - the dunedin one is great. 2) when driving north out of dunedin don’t take the #1, instead take the back way via Port Chalmers and take the road over to Blue Skin bay, stopping at the Orokonui Ecosanctuary, it’s AMAZING!! (Check the opening hours as in winter they’re not open all the time). 3)the Moeraki boulders, make sure you’re there closer to low tide, at high tide you will see NOTHING. 4) Moeraki township (the turn off is a bit before the beach turn) has a nice fish and chip shop, the Fish Wife (open on weekends). 5) In central Otago have a “real fruit icecream” 6) dunedin lunch go to St Clair esplanade for food (StatFish for cafe, Esplanade for Italian and the view) 7) Oamaru has the little blue penguin colony. Good food at Tee Street cafe, Scott’s brewery, Cucina (fancy), and Del Mar. And the whole Victorian precinct is cool. 8) stop at a salmon farm have some salmon between Twizel and Omarama. 9) don’t forget to pop into Wanaka (see the Wanaka tree) 10) stop at the blue pools, between Haast and Lake Hawea 11) not skip bluff if you’re going to the Catlins , just a short detour to the end of the world arrow thing like up at Cape Reinga

Sunreef make some amazing stuff. Their 210 trimaran is about as unique as it gets and an absolute stunner of a head turner. But even for a sailing cat how big is too big when it's only for two people? When you're not taking guests along there's just no need for sleeping for 8 on board. Maybe converting the space for storage, full timing or other uses. You guys have shown that even for sailing around the globe you don't need a massive vessel, even as nice and impressive as they are. Not gonna lie, it felt like I was leaving my own home after 6 years! Without that other boat tour this one would leave many feeling a little sad. While you live a semi-minimalist life - one I'm trying to get to ☺️ - I thought you would have had more things to pack, however I suspect that impression came from all of the maintenance and repairs you performed on Curiosity over time. I guess it wasn't worth putting your stuff in storage until freight and shipping improved either but I'm also sure you also left lots of spares for the new owners who are lucky to be getting this well loved vessel. Great color and material shortlist for the new boat! You have a great eye for elegant and thoughtful design.

I've been watching you guys from Wellington, and it's been quite funny watching all the weather hit you a few days to a week after I went through it myself 😆Looking forward to your upcoming adventures! For your Te Waipounamu / South Island trip, I'd highly recommend you do a Milford Sound visit. I'm not sure if it was already on your map - but if it isn't, definitely consider adding it! I think it's the most beautiful place I've been to, and I know a lot of people who feel the same. That said, if you miss it this time, you can definitely come back again - you've got a lot more of the North Island to see in future after all!

There's nothing that I can add to the feelings that others have mentioned on your site today. You are both such a delightful couple and visiting with you through many of your experiences, has brightened my days with renewed joy and hope for the future. I'm so excited for the both of you for yet, another adventure. Please replenish your hearts and souls as you wait in readiness for your new escapade. Love you both. You are my extended family. What an adorable couple! I hope that one day, you will sail into Annapolis, MD, USA. I'll be there to great you both with an open heart. Bless you both. Stay safe.

It is unfortunate you won't be visiting Hobbiton on the North Island in Matamata before going to the South Island (it is possible to take a bus tour from Auckland). In regards to letting things go, take time daily to reflect on how much you have. It may not be all that you want but remember someone somewhere is dreaming to have what you have. You probably keep hearing this, but as one chapter ends, another begins. But like with books, people take breaks from it. And you deserve a two-week break from editing/posting as you take deep breaths, realize what's happening, and enjoying the final moments you have in NZ.

I too have been watching since your RV days. This episode is so "happily sad". I'm happy for you two and your new life. But I'm sad about all of the adventures Curiosity has taken you through. It's like saying goodbye to a good friend. But she's in good hands with the new owners and they will surely enjoy her. And your new boat will be a wonderful upgrade that you two have so earned. Good Luck with your life. Cheers!

The new owners could not be getting a more perfect transition to Curiousity along with what you have conveniently left behind. Bonne Chance and looking forward to hearing from you again!

Quoting Agador Spartacus: “Everybody just take it easy!” Personally I don’t pay attention to the titles, I just know that if I go to KZbin on Sunday morning I will find the Winn’s, and that is all I care about.

You have made such an amazing success of boatlife and Vlogging. Great to see you evolving the dream. The new owners of Curiousity are very lucky to have such a well maintained boat, with all the extra goodies.

If only every boat was handed over so dilligently. With the mods over time and your efforts to leave this vessel in the way you did - very commendable. Congrats to the new owner. Enjoy landlife and the South Island - a helicopter ride and boat cruise is a must in Fiordland.

Congratulations to the new owners. Treat her, the boat, with the love & care that Jason & Nikki did. Good luck & have fun from time to time. I think you have time since The Wynns took & worked hard to get her in shape for y'all, as one should when sailing a boat ... lol... a pun there for you.... Have a wonderful time & make those new memories as one does when your buying a new home on the water. Of course you know what one has to do to keep it up since you've maintained a home on land. Jason & Nikki are one hard act to follow. They made it look easy, when it's really hard. But I have faith in y'all & remember they are only a phone call away to help y'all out. Your welcome Jason for me to elect you to help them... hehehe. To Jason & Nikki, Congratulations on to New adventures with your new boat. You should be proud @ how good you took care & worked hard of passing the keys to the new owners of your girl, the old boat. Y'all are going to have the time of your lives on your NEW boat. Just think about after you get your keys 🔑 of the new memories y'all will be making with the wind blowing through you lovely locks of hair..... lol.... It will only be a short time when y'all will be on your new boat & you'll be doing a move in video. Us viewers will have something to look forward to, can't hardly control myself for that video & the hundreds that will follow. Will you start a "New Season" @ episode one? Something to think about along with 500 more things to think about as your trying to decide what type or color you want your floor..... lol.... The most important thing to focus on is ................ what's important to you all & on you two as a couple 💑. May God be with both families for safety & love. Let the sailing begin & the wind be with you 4. Have a wonderful time & God bless you all, my heart is so excited for you all, Chris from Missouri

Excellent choice. Know you will love tge dark floor. Moves the eyes up and accentuates the rest of the design.
