Yes curved display is a premium feature which is under budget now. Jaise 2012 me ssd bahut mehangi and premium hoti thi, Aaj wo sasti hai , iska matlab ye nahi hai ki wo useless ho gayi. Ye to tech ka rule hai, nayi cheez expensive aati hai, then eo budget me aati hai 😊

Brother I had Nokia 8 Sirocco and my friend had samasung galaxy S8 in 2019. His display got problem in 2021 and buys new one but mine still works perfectly 😊. That was Nokia first and last curved display phone and I got that phone with great deal.

In my opinion, flagships are going for flat display bcoz there is utter problem of finding proper curved tempered glass. To resolve this issue, flagships must have offered pre-applied tempered glass in curved screen phones. That would have resolved all issues & curved display could stay as premium feature on flagships.

Flagship phones in most cases don't even want you to use any screen guard not even back cover. So I don't think that is the reason.

@@prash1246 which sucks i have used UV Tempered and full glue gaurds and withing weeks or 2 days it started getting bubbles for the very same reason, also it is way more expensive than flat screen tempered glass is easy to apply and stay durable my s24 ultra has tempered glass from the begining and i have faced no issue of bubble or removal of the guard with the cases fun fact curved screen phone is not compatible with both screen guard and cases one way ot the other cases will kill the screen or the screen guard it is worthless endeavor for pursing so called screen to body ratio

Flat displays are superior to curved ones because of the impracticality as discussed by you. I used to have the s20 ultra and for a big curved display like that i used to be very annoyed by the accidental touches especially in the KZbin app. And of course finding a protector for it was a big pain in the butt.

I've really good solutions for your "personal" bimaries. 1. You can easily get covers nowadays, even custom mades. 2. The inbuilt screen guards are strong and that's not my opinion, that's claimed by the brands. 3. Mistouch Prevention helps you while gaming. That's not a problem, at all. 4. Your screen guard, or even your cover saves it and those parts are made really strong by the good brands. And also it depends on you, if you keep dropping it 50 times a day, even your flat screens can't survive.

I am using Moro edge 40, the aforementioned points while may be big No’s for some people but my experience hasn’t been that bad, true that the screen is more prone to damage but I have installed UV light screen guard which is not perfect though but I saved my phone from a very sharp fall, so if you has such device just use it with more caution and gaming wise I didn’t face much issue🙂

No, AFAIK a USB-PD device will only provide power if the USB-PD-power-negotiation has been completed (which requires a USB-PD device on each side of the cable). Because otherwise two power sources may be connected on each side of the cable which would of course cause a shortage if both would just supply power.
