I like how Fi's echo filter disappears when she says her final line.

The Fi/Link scene always hits me no matter how much I watch it. While Fi was more hand holding, she was my favorite companion.

I really enjoyed that, Fi's voice especially was great.

This is amazing!! I love skyward sword for its story and this voice acting made it so much more cinematic and impactful. I hope Nintendo continues using voice work after BOTW.

Agreed. At least for the main cutscenes. Zelda games have such amazing stories to tell, and while I agree that imagining what characters sound like yourself is really cool, when you have to let the player dictate the pace of a scene by pressing a button... It severely limits what the creators can do. That's why I make these. (To show the potential of "better" pacing and dynamic scores that don't rely on looping... Though I havent exactly always made the best music choices. XD)

Zelda Universe has made two dubs of this game. I recognize that there was a lot of content for them to tackle, but honestly, I just prefer this version. It has the right formula, I think.

I have a dub of the entire game on my channel as well. It was made after ZU's first dub but before their second. I made a lot of strange creative choices with the music and stuff in order to distinguish it from ZU's dub though. Not a fan of them all. That's why I made this video.

@@PlotlinePlus No, I remember. I’ve seen the whole dub. I’ve just commented on most of those videos already. 😆

@@rosskerr1439 Oh! Thanks. Sorry for not remembering the username. >.< I don't get a lot of comments on that series, so it always means a lot. Thank you.

From a performance standpoint, this was fantastic and one of the best examples for why I love this game... (could do with less time manipulation to the video though XD)

Ooooh yeah... I know. For the Zelda games I didn't really have any way to record the footage myself, so I had to resort to LP footage. I ended up just telling the VAs to focus on their performances and I still do my best in the editing process to make sure the flow of the scene feels somewhat natural and everything has the right punch. Or at least as much flow as I can get with the footage. If I didn't edit the footage as much as I did, trust me, it would be a mess. Totally feel ya though, I do worry about the distraction factor.

I _swear_ that the music that plays when Link puts the Master Sword in the pedestal wasn't in the game...
@PlotlinePlus5 жыл бұрын
Nice catch. It was actually from the Zelda 25th Anniversary Orchestra. The original piece felt a little to... Synthesized for my liking. I also replaced the music when Link first wakes up with some music from the re-orchestrated Twilight Princess soundtrack. (I think it was from somewhere in the end credits song.)

Oof. Just realized I made a mistake and published a video I had uploaded but never unlisted back in like... 2018. I mistook it for this video, thinking I had privated it. I think the other one was just too quiet.
