Inflation prices, gas prices. We can easily price check those. In addition presidents have little effect on crude prices, but either way Bidens production of oil is higher than Trump's if that matters. 4. There is no comparison. Trump is no pro worker president and will likely receive few union support. Policy doesn't lie. In essence you supply chain due to buyer demand is not the same as inflation due to lack of supply. Either way Biden policies of building infrastructure absolutely benefits trade workers. The NY celebrity TALKED about these laws, just could never pass them. Biden actually did. They aren't a socialist party if they don't add out new sort of welfare every election. That's why Belgium has the highest taxes and biggest debt. The socialist party doesn't want you in the higher bracket, because then need welfare and they lose your vote. They want you to keep dependant on them. Dave is wrong that though that they put the immigrants in communities ( they even tried the opposite) , but they group up themselves. The problem isn't migration, the problem massimmigration , large communities keep their own identity and don't integrate.

To where now the next generations, myself included and other second cousins, are in much better situations. My dad didn't want us to live to want, he worked hard finally retiring at 69, my mom is 63 and still working, but now my siblings and I are also on our own, married, own homes and have great careers! 2000 tax credit is not much for a kid that covers like one month of rent
@bjarnisigurdsson19117 ай бұрын
Child tax credit isn't the only thing. If you have 3 children, are a single mother and earn less than the local/state/federal benchmark for the various programs. You not only pay effectively no income taxes, your rent is covered 70% by section 8, your childrens childcare and afterschool is covered 80% by programs, you get enough foodstamps to feed and dress your kids. While working for local government I interviewed many women who qualified for everything, a woman with 3 kids, her monthly benefits were around $3,500 per month. She'd pay 30% of the cost of rent 25% of the cost of daycare/afterschool, she could earn up to 39k a year, get further community assistance through food and toy drives, kids were on medicaide so had full insurance. So with her job and benefits she effectively made 80k a year with little expenses and paid no taxes. This is the rule not the exception. This is comfortable enough that we had generations of women having done this, shes on it, her mom before her and her mother before her. The kicker is. All programs at the time came from different agencies that didn't communicate nor could we ascertain if the women were getting child support which should count as income (many prefer to just ask the father for cash rather than put them on government child support to hide it better). I've also seen people refuse salary increases and promotions to preserve their benefits because the annual $1,000 increase would disqualify them from thousands in monthly benefits.

This is why throughout history societies always said “women are not suited for politics”. The entire idea of women voting is ridiculous, we protect women the same way we protect children, for good reason - but that protection results in having very unrealistic understandings about how the world REALLY works, about how harsh the real world is, the only thing that separates us from them is shared values and ultimately FORCE via police, military, or state / prison. Not all people are equal, and not all cultures are equal. Women in western countries are the most privileged and protected people who’ve ever walked the face of the earth - men have built this entire world and entire society, they maintain it, they pay the majority of taxes, and they quite literally work themselves to death - women today don’t even realize the government has now catered to them by transferring money from men to women, to rigging the family courts against men to transfer money from men to women, university giving special scholarships to women, special access to women, special funding for women, special treatment for women, women’s only programs, programs to incentivize women to go into STEM, then companies giving preference to female applicants, affirmative action for women (discriminating against the men who built and maintain the society), HR dept giving special considerations for women, catering to women’s feelings, etc. Even this college debt forgiveness is primarily debt forgiveness for WOMEN since the majority of college students are now women - and the majority of debt is held by women. The whole thing is broken - and that’s why men are disengaging from the entire thing. Women being pushed into all these positions are exactly why everything is broken, inefficient, and more expensive. Men are subsidizing women on every single level. Only until men are back in change so society, back in charge of institutions, back in charge of their family and wife, HEAD IF THEIR HOUSEHOLD - only then will things begin to get better.

You make an excellent point about the hypocrisy in how corporate bailouts and welfare/social programs are often viewed differently, despite the significant government expenditures involved in both. It's true that there tends to be much more vocal criticism from conservative politicians and pundits about welfare, food stamps, and other social safety net programs for individuals and families, often framing them as wasteful handouts. At the same time, corporate bailouts and subsidies - which can amount to hundreds of billions or even trillions of taxpayer dollars - often get less scrutiny or pushback, especially from the political right. Major examples include the Wall Street bailouts during the 2008 financial crisis, the auto industry bailout, and pandemic-era business relief programs. You're right that this represents a clear double standard. The argument could be made that both types of government interventions and spending are forms of corporate or individual welfare, but the moral outrage and opposition tends to be applied much more strongly to aid for regular citizens versus large companies. This discrepancy reveals the influence of powerful corporate interests in the political process, as well as an ideological bias that is more accepting of government support for businesses over direct aid to the poor and middle class. It's a complex and politically charged issue, but your observation about the hypocrisy is an astute one.

Growing up in a poor community that was dependent on welfare, the kids around me couldn't wait to turn 18 so they could get their own welfare. They saw it as a lifestyle instead of a stepping stone. Lack of education and nuclear family was the culprit of this thinking.

The woman said the government helped people move to a better neighborhood and that helped. That sounds a little racist. The people's lives improved because they moved out of an area with poorer and frankly a more minority population? In history, migrants and the poor lived in the inner city, poorer and ghetto areas and on their own with hard work and getting education and training they moved out to better, suburban neighborhoods.

I saved my girlfriends grandson from living an indigent lifestyle. I provided for him; class ring, cap & gown & 1st truck. I mentored him and went and subcontracted some projects just to expose him on how easy it is to make money (with hard labor) he's 20, graduated college, has an EMT license, a good job he loves. He bought himself a Harley Davidson when he was 18! His sorry mother will live out her miserable life a welfare queen, having never had a job.

It’s such bullshit that the single young man aged 18-34 who makes anywhere from 60k-130k gets taxed for 1/3 of there income. Hasn’t bought property yet gets taxed way more and still owes taxes at the end of year. People who are on welfare and have a crap load of kids and are in poverty get 10k plus in tax returns It’s so frustrating

I grew up on state welfare from 1970-1985 (3-17), after my parents split, and my goal on my 18th birthday was to never depend on the state again. Wefare is a death trap and creates generational poverty. There are 3rd & 4th generation welfare families here in the US, particularly in black urban communities, who have no financial education or understanding of the opportunities outside their present circumstances. Government welfare and gov't education are a financially toxic combination.

People are put on government assistance to keep them on government assistance why do you think most of these programs do not come with a requirement they must gain new skills to elevate themselves but they do come with requirements like you can’t have over a certain amount in your bank account or they’ll take that entitlement away.

Wow! $1000 - $2000 a month for unemployment?! I was the bread winner with a wife and 3 kids, a modest house and no auto loans. I got so little on unemployment there was no way we could have survived. We went through our savings very quickly in the 5 weeks I was unemployed. 12 years later, I was unemployed again and got very little more in unemployment. The differential between what I was earning vs unemployment was a lot bigger this time. There was no way to maintain on it.

The problem with public programs is that people now feel entitled to it. When i was homeless i spent some time in the wire office and i has to reconcile with the fact that i was turning it to be a loser. I had to approach them with humility and experienced shake because i don't want to be the type of person who what you needing welfare. I had to recognize for myself that i was going nowhere. I dated a girl who didn't tell me she was in what's but i found it when i went to her place. The nice outfit she wore on the first date was stolen. Her friend was at her place already and was dealing drugs negate it is earning under the table and she paid for her habit. She asked me if i could drive her somewhere at a specific time and my date said "he works". The friends reply was "oh." . But an impressed expression, it a disappointed expression. The "oh." Sounded like she was confused why anyone would work when they could get their rent paid. But that helped me out, ice has almost 20 years of free rent because i get caretaker jobs where i just vacuum and dust and out notices under the door, occasionally report need for repairs and a few small things. It's a part time job and a two bedroom apartment for just me and it's free?

You can't move out of poverty if you are being controlled by those who control your finance. You need to learn to succeed, you need to learn to fail to be able to move up in life. It's about hard work, it's about learning as you go what works and what doesn't. Your failures aren't just about losing money directly. It's about losing opportunities that you take that may not work out. You have an infinite amount of possibilities in the US to do something for you. It's not an overnight event, it takes time and it take dedication and learning to get there.
