Homeschool is living life within each other. You are traveling and learning. You are homeschooling while you live. Your daughter is learning the greatest skill of being a life long learner. You are showing your daughter the skill of conversation. Communication is important and a skill. Real life, van life, is your classroom. Mom and Dad are her teachers. The teacher sets the tone of a classroom. Traditional or nontraditional, it is your choice. You are providing your daughter the greatest and richest of education. She may not yet have words to express about what she is learning. Give her a year or two to process this rich education and be ready to listen. Just have fun!!!💚💚💚

Well done you guys! That is how learning should be. Mainstream schooling is not teaching our children the truth about our history, and do not embrace questioning or difference. Children naturally seek to learn what interests them. You are providing the best learning for your daughter, by showing her more of the world and how it works. x

She’ll probably be better than most kids her age at Irish when you get to Ireland. It’s taught poorly in general so she has nothing to worry about. I would think about integrating her into the community and finding her the decent sort of friends. Skibb rowing club would be a good shout. She’ll meet friends that are supportive because it’s a team sport and they are a very successful club. My niece was an introvert and one day she surprised us all by wanting to go rowing (it’s in our family) and now she’s very outgoing and has buckets of friends, she’s fit and strong and it’s like riding a bike you can take it up again even if it’s just for leisure. Just a thought 😁

Oh that's interesting to know about her learning Irish. Thanks for the recommendation too - love some insider tips! Yes our priority will definitely be getting her settled in and forming a friendship group. Well we're all keen to integrate into the local community, it's one of the pulls to the area for us!
