Hilarious! Foresty, you are a million miles away from becoming a geriatric van life channel. You're just being sensible and leaving the heavy snow behind. Better you and Rocko stay warm and safe. A long winter stretches ahead. A little sunshine is good for you both.

I know. He's does a beautiful video every time and spends 30 seconds in a lot of his videos denegrating his videos. He did such a great job this video giving me history of Butte, and thinks he needs to narrate everything every fricking moment. HE DOESENT EVEN NEED TO TALK. It's fine if he want's to, he does very good at narration. BUT HE DOESN'T NEED TO. His videography is amazing and that's a big reason I love his channel.

The beast who eats mountains for breakfast says he's geriatric while the rest of us actual old folk watch him from the comfort of our warm homes. You rock, Foresty! Rest rules, pace yourself, and I wouldn't want to watch you drive 10 hours anyway. We love your content because you are you.

Seriously, I need to adventure with Forestry for a few weeks or a month and make him understand clearly his true weaknesses and strengths, not the ones he articulates in his videos, because the stuff he says are his weaknesses, I don't think any of us followers ever care about. It's a lot of stuff that doesn't even matter. The thing that matters is his adventurous spirit. His being out in the middle of the most beautiful places on earth and walking, not talking, but walking and doing it. His cinematography is so awesome. His video editing and drone video is breathtaking. He's so awesome and doesn't seem to know it clearly. I don't want him to ever quit his channel because I love his content so much, so I need to make sure he is properly motivated to continue forever! Thankfully, Forest, I live in Boise, Idaho and love Jack Russels and riding bikes so I'm hopeful I'll get a chance to show you some Idaho history someday.

Spot on! I am qualified for geriatric! By the way, I was 19 year old student working at the summer camp when the group of school kids from Chernobyl area arrived via rehabilitation program, first summer of the disaster. I learned that summer how brave and resilient kids could be, homes lost, parents somewhere away looking for answers… The group I worked with would be seniors that coming school year. All future plans lost, we sneaked at night to the beach to sit at the fire, telling stories, singing quite songs to a guitar. I cannot make myself watch the movie, I know it would hurt just as it did that summer, helpless and angry. Anyone who was not touched by the tragedy has to watch it and remember how fragile and stupid humans are.

Another foresty forest video to lighten up the day.....I also thought about fumes coming off the cap which is vented on the diesel heater fuel tank when you install it indoors! I simply added a hose fitting to the cap by drilling it out then fitting a hose to the brass fitting and sending it through the rear corner of the van and it exits under the top corner plastics above the tail light. Those caps are a vented cap so everyone who stores them inside gets to breathe those fumes. Hmmm...? A gasoline furnace worries me just because gasoline is so combustible and if the worst happens you may become a foresty burito yourself...??? I'll stick to the dirty fuel as it is difficult to get it to burn without some effort. Keep the video's coming, love them all....I have two Jacks now but are the large framed versions at 30 plus pounds, but I think my next one will again be the same size as Rocko....just easier in a confined space maybe. She certainly is a fine specimen....!

You've mentioned having headaches around screens twice that I recall--I'd suggest you go to an eye doctor and get checked out. Sudden headaches around screens could totally be due to squinting/trying to focus. I don't know if you wear contacts or glasses already, but I've always been surprised and relieved at how instantly a new/better pair of glasses has helped me with things like squinting and headaches. It seems dumb, because that eyes should just work, but when they don't, the second best thing is to get good glasses on them right away. Like, people will say, "I can see all the leaves on trees!" and "My squinting and headaches went away!" and it sounds like over-hyping it, but it's really not, not if you actually do need glasses.

I'm sure there's more to you than what's here. I have a 2006 Suburban setup for sleeping. Did a 5-hour trip but ended up staying with friends so I haven't slept in it yet. Looking forward to some road trips. A 68 my adventures now are all geriatric😊 Never been to Butte Montana so it was good to see. Thanks

Butte is my hometown, I couldn't click on this faster! Glad you and Rocko explored town a bit. Come back to Western MT when you have a chance, there's lots of amazing outdoor adventures to be had.

Mr. Forest, Thanks so much for your content. A late friend and his wife turned me on to your channel a few years ago. Been watching ever since. Each episode seems to take me back to when he was alive. It is a way to stay connected to a lost friend and keep his memory alive. Thanks for the great content.

Thanks for filming some homes and buildings, awesome to see the different types of styles from the past. That Victorian house was a stunner. Really enjoyed everything about this video.
