Maybe, we're not sure really at this point, we might just re-build the entire island since there's nothing much to do now and leave it at that, after collecting all basket of hope and ancient elevator ranks. Before this update there were people being harassed by inappropriate cake soul names (One of the well known examples of this was when someone got a cake soul of an account named after an imgur link that went to a picture of someone's house, then put it on auction for everyone to see) Overall this is truly an overpowered way of boosting.

People used it to bypass getting flagged, i’m pretty sure. You might think people just eat cakes on several profiles but in reality they trade coins for souls to disguise it as selling a collectible name, also i’ve heard higher rarity might affect it i’m not sure though. It just made it harder for staff to moderate as they would have to know what names are collectible, and which ones aren’t.

For everyone wondering, the (i’m mostly sure this is it) reason they did this is because people used pies and cake souls to disguise coins trades as selling collectible names. It made it harder for staff as they’d have to know what souls are collectible and which ones aren’t.

As someone that knows a decently successful irl trader, I can say that this DID HEAVILY impact irl trading in a good way. This did highly increase the complexity in which irl traders can sell coins since a lot of coin buyers are pretty new to the game and don't understand anything too complicated. There is only one other method that allows users to irl trade stably and it is way less efficient and confusing to newer players since it has a small requirement.

I personally hate the fact they soulbound cake souls as they are a huge legitimate market, and soulbinding them does 2 major negative things to the cake soul market. firstly, it just straight up removes the potential to make coins off of rare cake souls such as technoblade, as he openly stated that his cake souls were a major part of his coin making in the past. and secondly, this also means a huge hit to cake soul collectors as they can no longer buy the cake souls they want, and the fact of the people they want to make souls out of may no longer log on, or they have to go and find them through obscure means just makes it that much worse. for example, I recently started up a cake soul collection of my own, with 2 main types of cakes I am collecting, the first type is youtube rank people, such as thirtyvirus and sarite (both of which I already captured myself) and the second type, which is harder to find, is people with the word thicc in their name. I don't remember the reason for it but I just want to do it for the memes at the moment. this makes it hard for me to get these cake souls as I now have to manually search for them, or start a network of people to search for them. overall, I hate cake souls being soulbound very much.

If they keep coop soulbinding random stuff, soon the default skyblock will basically become ironman. That sucks that it completely ruins the museum. There is a much bigger problem they should be fixing, the duping, which it seems they aren't even doing anything about.

Well the lesser orb of healing gets the name / player removed off of it about ten seconds after capturing it, so the only way to save a name on it is to capture the player on your island and put it in an item frame right away, and if you take it out of the item frame, the name gets removed, essentially making it coop soul bound and only work if you get the player to visit your island, so it makes it a worse cake soul, unless your using it to show that someone visited your island

I think Skyblock should go to 1.0 (I'm talking about remaking skyblock as a whole, so that they can actually fix the issues and stop using band-aids like this one), remove it from beta and reset all profiles.
