I just bought Sony’s 85” tv and spent $2,000…. Best viewing I’ve ever seen! Beautiful picture!! Prices should be below 5 grand on the 100” in a few years…. Anybody remember how expensive plasma tv’s were??? They’ve gone the way of the dodo bird

I've only talked to a few people that have actually purchased and installed one of these in their homes, but everyone that I know of that owns one absolutely raves about how great it is and how much they love everything about it. I did see a few places that recently put this model on sale for $11,500 for a short period of time.

Watching this video now in 2023 where the X90L 98" and BZ40 100" panels from Sony are now AUD$13K and AUD$14K respectively, and it's great to see the steady decline in the price tag in a short time (despite current inflation). While this size won't suit everyone, I can't wait until they are sub-$10K in general, which might not be too far!

For a TV with that price, I don't think anything less than perfect is acceptable. Then again, unless I become rich I won't be throwing that much money at a TV. I might go to €2000-€3000 for my next one if it's really good. My current one was €1500 and I'll be using it for at least 4-5 more years. But I will be getting one a size bigger the next time and I have a better job now that earns significantly more, so I have a bit more to spare.

@@thenonexistinghero I don’t game and I watch varied content, streaming services, 4K Blu-ray, tv, sports etc..so for me I don’t worry about oled and I love mine and the conditions of my room suit it perfectly looks fantastic, but yes oled is more expensive like you say when compared to lcd/qled/mini led and like for like sizing so I’d say a big 100” qled would look impressive due to brightness but I’d say if you had your own cinema you couldn’t go wrong with either technology it’s just pricing.

Do you game a lot? Or do yiy mainly want it for movies and stuff? Do you have kids thst game a lot? Do you plan to use it as a monitor (lol doubt it for a screen that size) Go with the oled if you don't game or barely ever game. 100" seems really cool but the x92j is basically the x90j. The x90j has atrociously few dimming zones. And I imagine with it being led (and I assume not having a wide view angle layer since the x90j doesn't) the TV will be so large the sides might look a bit more washed out etc If you do game a lot and want a led and have the money I'd go with the QN95A esp if you're in Europe

Going for 15k now but I can see these going for 10k or less soon especially with UST projectors a better consideration for many or a newer 2023 Sony model appearing. This is now priced at the same price point as the JVC DLA-NZ8R which is my other option. @@dreamav8161 can't say I have seen a Barco projector, but have seen a Christie and a Vivitech. I would still out my money on a 100" tv over their 100" image. Now if you were looking at a 150"-200" screen (what Barco and the others were designed for) their picture would be among of the best available. They were not designed for that small of an image. What I wouldn't give for one of those projectors though!!

Amazing monster tv. The QN900A should go for a 100" too.

I was holding off buying a new TV when I heard this was coming out. I thought it would cost around $5000, but when they told me $20K, I bought the XBR85X900H instead.

Why has it taking them so long to get to 100 inches? Remember in 2012 is when I picked up my 92 inch DLp tv , Main reason why I haven’t upgraded to a 4K display It’s because they refused to pay more money for a smaller display so my question is why has it taking them so long to get to 100 inches ? You would think with every newer technology that comes out they would start bigger because the technology allows you to go bigger and sharper

Sony's premium OEM all metal back-lit remote control, item # RMF-TX621 is easily available and would be a nice bundle gift from your local dealer.

My Bravia XR90 75” seems so small next to that beast. However, $20K is way out of my price range.

Same here. Tbh even 5k seems to me a bit much to spend on a TV. I do love my home cinema (65 inch) but tbh I found at my previous home with a 55 inch screen I was getting motion sickness and nausea. So for me at least screen size has got to be right for the room. 65 is big enougn for the room i have now, i cant go any further back than i sit now and games i can get quite dizzy on even the 65 inch. So fir me anyway it is not about buying the biggest TV I can afford. Room size comes into it, so it is actually comfortable viewing and not too big. Also as said even at 5, albeit I love my home cinema, I would actually grudge spending that on just a TV. It is totally unnecessary and over the top. You can still get a great TV for a lot less and still have money left. BTW spending 20k on a TV doesn't mean it will actually last any longer than any other TV. So it is not the best investment. Well if I were to buy a TV at that price I would hope it would last me a decade at least.
