Ah Casey. What is there to say. An old ending and a new beginning. There is a quote I have on my refrigerator that may be apropo for your situation “ when you come to the edge of all the light you have, and must take a step into the darkness of the unknown, believe that one of two things will happen. Either there will be something solid for you to stand on or you will be taught how to fly. Patrick Overton

We were living in a house with no indoor plumbing when my 2nd daughter was born 2 months premature. My eldest was 4 years old. I used to scoop water out of the Salmon river with a coffee cup to fill a 5 gallon pail to heat on the stove and then bathe my children or do dishes. When I finally moved into a house with hot and cold running water I would stand at the sink and turn the faucet on and off because it filled me with such joy. It's been 31 years and I STILL get a little thrill out of water coming out of faucets. No adventure is wasted and I am confident the Universe has just lightened your burden so you'll be ready for that perfect property when it appears on your horizon. I look forward to your first cows. ;)

Casey, I think you are fantastic. And, you are right. There is no freedom in worrying about money, just stress. I don't care what you are living in. You still have Bob and Bob leaves so much potential open for your RV future. The War Wagon was just a vessel and it fullfilled it's purpose, just like the van before it.

You fortunately have enough gumption and more importantly skills that you will land on your feet. Maybe you should change your name to Phoenix because girl you just keep rising out of the ashes! One thing you are absolutely right about, freedom is the ability to do what you want when you want where you want. That doesn't have to be tied to an rv although it can be. It is a factor of financial freedom and having enough resources so you don't have to go to sleep every night or wake up every morning crushed by financial worries.

What I like about you Casey is that, when you are bounced around, you don't retreat. Take care, stay well and God bless you!

Casey, The adventures you take us on ( whether stationary or mobile ) via those stories of old houses or people, etc.; thats where your talents are on display, so how you physically " rolled up " doesn't amount to " a hill of beans " ( Southernly Speaking ...... I’m a year and 4 months in a van and I’ve been over it since within the first two weeks. Have yet to find/experience all of the lush green forest, beachside, creek side camping. If I could find a way to have a bathtub 🛁 in the rig, I most surely would. It’s what I miss most. As for a mattress, I bought a land and sky organic mattress with a topper (13” total) years ago and it’s the BEST sleep I’ve ever had. I took it with me in the van and it’s the best thing about being in the van. I love the way you roll with things. I’m glad things are working out for you even though not the way you would have preferred. This is where the Masters and Sages are right about not being attached to things, desires and preferences. It’s simply sooo much easier. Life is what happens while the mind is making plans😂 Blessings 🙏🏻🧚♀️☀️😌

Casey! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!! I was DEAD SET on doing the whole truck and RV thing. My dude and I have horrible credit. So we were going to set up a budget and fix our credit so that we could do this thing. However, our landlord whom I've known for many years, gave us an incredible offer. He stated he would help us buy a house, if we fix our credit. Now mind you, neither of us have ever had a mortgage and I'm 41! I thought getting locked into a mortgage and having this massive debt would be a horrific idea. But, my dude literally JUST yesterday, convinced me how important the equity would be. It took more convincing then that, but I'm not going to bore you with the details! The reason I'm thanking you, is because, from what I understand is that you felt like you were giving up your dream, but in reality it seems this has opened up even more possibilities for you! I needed to hear this today. So again, you are amazing, I hate people too, and I apologize if I rambled to much! 🤣 I can't wait for more video's! You are honestly such a badass role model!

At 65, it's real fucking simple: No Expectations= NO Disappointments! Bigger question is: HOW the fuck did you qualify for an apt? As a rookie realtor? I ask because in my major west coast city, most rentals advertised say something like "3.5 times proof of income required". So if the rent was $1000/mo., you have to show earnings of $3,500/mo. Oh, and they require pay stubs, a W-2, a 1099, or tax return too! Prop mgmt firms ACT as if you're purchasing the property, not renting it.

Hey Casey , this is not the end of anything , I have had a lifetime of swapping back and forth between lorries (trucks) and houses , usually I burn all my stuff and go live in a lorry , then something happens that puts me back in a house , and on and on it goes , I just got fed up of keeping burning stuff . Its not the end just different , all things considered its a a good move , R+R for a bit with (luxury) bath bog and washing machine , cool . Its just a journey we are on , to hell with the naysayers , doors close doors open , for people like us life is fluid , its great that you can go with the flow which ever stream you are in . Through health I am back in a house at the moment , but it will pass then I can back to my life in the van . We are all the same , ups and downs , stay with those that stick with you through both .

Im sorry. After listening to the whole video, i know you are just on life support while you swing on the trappease of life. Someone once told me one has to swing back and forth on our trappease bar that we all cling to, then at one point let go and fly with nothing but the bottom looming up at us as we fly through the air towards that next bar (our next life) that we pray swings into us and we catch it mid air. It is about trusting the universe to be there with arms out to catch us. You are a warrior, you keep your eye on your dreams, the rest is just static on the tv screen. Life will come into focus, eventually.

Sorry that all happened, how super stressful and draining.....but on the positive side, it looks like a really nice apartment

Casey I see the anguish in your face. It feels so unfair when the immovable forces of the universe converge in a way to crush your dreams. especially when In the short term there is so little you can do to change it. the good part is that you found a positive way to mange the changes. Keeping a home base is a great plan that as it is always there as as a safety net so you can't be jerked around like with the war wagon. I believe you will love the ease of mobility with the truck camper. Turn the key put it in drive and you're off! We made the same circle you are making, Camper trailer to a Small Class C that does not need to tow a vehicle (very important) . We will look forward to following the further adventures of "Romin Roman" Best of luck to you.

Casey..you are a breath of fresh(?) air..lol... your reality is so real, and you take it like a champ! Wishing my daughter could watch this vlog tonight, but alas, things for her are not always indestructible. Her time as of late is limited to anxiety and stress~i.e. she just purchased her first home, after living in an apartment for 18+ years. She's single by choice, living with her two little furry pets (cats). She has a very limited income, working as a lab tech, sampling milk cultures for a dairy. BTW, she loves cows too...... I explained to her about your analogy in your last vlog about "God's shoe-box, getting thrown against the wall"..I'm excited for her in her 'new to her' 1950's home, yet knowing her struggles with home ownership is just the beginning of a love/hate relationship. (maintenance). Her new home is the same size as your 'new' apartment, and needs a sh*t load of TLC. I tell her she can do it, just look at Casey and all she's accomplished and been through the last few years. I laughed to tears about your black tank experience, and your resolve to get through,,, leaving the war-wagon for another new adventure on your journey through life. You're strong and resilient, and I picture a nice grassy plot of land with cows grazing, and your longed for domicile in the future. You've hit a lot of bumps in the road, always managing to get over them with aplomb. I look forward to more 'Casey truisms' in the coming months. You've got this, and way to go girl!! ~hugs, because I can, and I'm not a relative~ smirk...

We started watching you two years ago, because we were preparing for our own RV journey. Your channel was made up with doing things your own way and fuck the rest of the fancy channels. So when your RV (van) adventure ended, we kept watching because we fell in love with you. We are with you until the end. If you every need to become a Canadian we will be happy to adopt you. Love Doug & Sharon Long
