**WARNING** EMOTIONALLY RAW REACTION at the end of the video. I just wanted to give a heads up for anyone that may find that a little intense since it's not my usual reaction and would otherwise be unprepared for it. Thank you to this incredible community for embracing me on this journey into your beloved world, that I am now so happy to say is becoming a part of mine! I look forward to the many adventures that await us all! For now, enjoy the reaction!

In the books, Zeus always wore a suit, so that’s actually correct. I honestly shed a tear when he teleported away, knowing that was the last we’d see of Lance

The looks in Luke and Percy's eyes during the betrayal scene, just... wow. You can see just pure raw pain in Percy's eyes, he genuinely looks like the world has been pulled out from under his feet. And Luke looks just as hurt to SEE Percy like that, hence his quick "I AM your friend. None of this was meant to hurt you" and trying to explain himself. and then Luke's horrified "Annabeth?" when she took off her cap. Percy lost a friend, Annabeth lost a brother, and Luke lost both. All while the fireworks for Percy's victory go off in the back. What a scene. I'm almost surprised to say this, but the show handled the scene better than the book by MILES.

As per usual, I came here looking for a fun time and ended up with so much more. I really can't express how much I appreciate the way you express yourself and your thoughts, and I continue to be impressed by the beautiful way in which you see the world. Percy Jackson to me was what you described. A call for adventure, something that made a little greek mythology nerd like me to feel like I belonged. Many friends that I have today, I knew because of Percy Jackson. And I owe a lot of who I am to those books. Going through this journey again has been keeping me going in a time when my mental health honestly is at a very low point. Even though I'm an adult now and I've known this story and these characters for idk how many years, it still moves me and embraces me, and I'm glad you get to feel it too. Really glad I found your channel. You seem to have a beautiful soul. Here's to more adventures!

This is the highest praise, coming from a fan of the books. It means so much to me to have been included in this community. To be guided through its rich and vibrant storytelling instead of guarded against it. I always think of that meme where it says something like *every boy picking up a stick* and then it shows Aragorn at Helm's Deep holding that boy's blade saying "This is a good sword". I think that meme is the manifestation of my own personality. I'm travel-worn, physically and emotionally weary. My heart has known peaks and valleys, deepest love, and the chasm of despair and isolation. The one thing that has helped me through it all, so much like the words of Poseidon, is that I do not like to be restrained. In moments of my greatest trials and tribulations, I often have to recognize that the cage I feel trapped in is largely of my own making. The key can take on many shapes, whether it be time itself, words of affirmation, encouragement from a friend or loved one, or the stubbornness to never yield. Thank you for the companionship along this reaction journey! I've appreciated it every step of the way! I'd learned to navigate life as a lonewolf years ago. Reactions are teaching me to navigate with questing companions in tow! I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you, and let's make today an adventure. Like the opening lyrics to Curious George says: "You never do know what's around the bend. A big adventure, or a brand new friend..." Have a good day today, tomorrow, and every day that the sun chases opposite horizons, and the moon shines her silver light!

As a book fan of 11 years and a fellow Washingtonian, at the age of 22, I have absolutely loved taking this journey with you. It's been a genuine joy to check in with you every week and hear your thoughts as the story progressed. The books were an integral part of my adolescence (I read them quite literally from the age of 12 to 18, when the last main series book came out) and were such a big part of shaping me as a person, my sense of humor, and the values that I hold. It was my biggest hope when the series was announced that it would inspire that same spark to seek adventure and a feeling of belonging in new people, and I'm just so happy that it was able to touch you in that way. Stars and sun light your path

Thank you so much for being a part of this journey I am on and for rediscovering that childlike joy with me as well! I can not say enough how cathartic it is to work through all these emotions I've really suppressed. I had to finish a school year out and be the brave face for fellow students that were hurting. I used to be the guy that craved adventure. I moved to Japan without really knowing any of the language. I felt like Indiana Jones (even dawning a fedora and khakis to explore temples and remote areas around my city of Matsue🤣) and I felt like I'd lost that part of me a long while back. Not unlike Bilbo I'd felt a growing restlessness living my quaint existence in the Shires of the Midwest. I've needed these adventures, and it is bittersweet that I should go on these adventures carrying the spirit of one who had made every day an adventure with me. I'm honestly humbled and so appreciative of the larger worlds I have stepped into, whether fantastical or otherwise. This will always be a beloved memory of mine. Thank you for being part of that chapter of this story. I look forward to the next, and for more adventures with Percy Jackson! May the seas of this life grant you safe passage. And may the tempest calm before you out of respect for the path you take. 💙🔱 Thank you for the warm welcome to Camp Half-Blood!

As another kid that grew up in the forests of Washington with no one my age closer than 30 minutes away I absolutely loved this book series as a kid. The movies sucked but starved of a true live action remake I watched them but this series as imperfect as it is I absolutely loved every episode. I hope we get a season for every book but if this is all we get I will treasure it and it will hold a special in my heart. Thanks to the cast, the writers and the whole crew for this show that gives vindication for my favorite book series. Also decided to reread the whole series because of the first 2 episodes.

I think it certainly would have been mine were I younger when they came out. The Redwall series by Brian Jacques was my jam back in the 90s! Have you ever read those books? I highly recommend them, and they more than hold up even today! I'm far from the home where I grew up, but you'll still catch me wearing that navy and live action green of my Seahawks. Though, truth be told, I was always Mariners fan first and foremost! Thank you for joining me on this journey. I am so excited to hear your thoughts on the books! Im reading the first one now myself and its even more than I expected! You will get your adventure there for sure and so much more character development and world building ❤ To your comment on Percys sass, thats one of the reasons why big 3 kids are forbidden. They feel their power and no matter how humble and lovely they would be, the god part of them does come out more or less and can even be dangerous if they cant learn to control it. Annabeth gave us that little clue about Thalia also: She knew she was a forbidden child, but she just didnt care (translated from disney language to normal, She just didnt give a f*ck 😂)

I'm so proud of all the young actors in this cast. I remember watching Charlie Bushnell (who plays Luke) in a project a few years ago and just seeing him now a little older and the sheer skill and emotions in his performance is a privilege. All the young actors were brilliant and clearly found their footing throughout. Walker Scobell was just so phenomenonal, the scene with his reunion with Sally where you can just see him break a little while looking at her and how absolutely tough this has been for Percy that he hasn't allowed himself to really express was such phenomenonal acting in one facial expression. He's going to have a bright career in the future (although it is already very bright with all three of his projects being leading roles). All the adult actors were brilliant ofc as well. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I deeply admire your openness at the end!

This entire production really is to be commended for how much love, passion, and professionalism went into it. So many times, Hollywood churns out a product and it can be so hard to see the art and craftsmanship that went into it, because it was made devoid of love and passion. But not here. I'm looking forward to season 2 and watching how the younger cast grows in their craft and storytelling capabilities! Thank you for being a part of this journey and adventure with me. Maybe some day I'll dust off the video I made in June when I decided to give up being a streamer, and just how defeated I was emotionally. I guarantee you wouldn't even believe it is the same person from these videos. It is no small matter to say that reactions, and more importantly, the communities and stories around them, have saved my life. In life, we are always given a choice. Let the force of the tide pull us to our inevitable oblivion, or we can embrace adventure and let that same tide pull us deep into the mystery of the unknown. My hope is that in these experiences people can find a chance to reflect and resolve, like Percy, to be brave (and full of bravado!) Thank you for being a part of this journey. I have immensely enjoyed sharing thoughts and encouragement with you. This was only a small chapter in my life, but a huge climax in the exciting story that is my life. I'm grateful you have chosen to spend your time with me on that journey. Thank you! 🔱

I just wanted to say how much I love to see your videos, the way that you talk about adventures with so much passion, even in a hard time... how you're open to show your perspectives... It's so fun to know that are others that can go that deep into those stories and talk about how we enter into wonderful worlds, how we experience it, we feel about it... I don't know if you did understand what I'm trying to say, but, for someone that sometimes feels awkward about going too deep emotionally into stories, especially books, and feels that can't really relate to no one around, your videos are really special. know that you reached someone in Brazil lol

Thank you so much for that honesty. It is a bravery all of its own. I always figure that most other reaction channels will share what they think, and it's always been my goal to share how the experience makes me feel, and that can take me to some unexpected, and downright difficult places, but it's always worth it in the end to go through with it. My journey has always been about appreciation, and while it can be difficult at times to summon the words in the middle of those heavy emotional feels, it's always worth it, even the times I wish I could forget. Deep appreciation isn't always about just the good times. Sometimes, it's about recognizing your place and how you've grown from the bad ones, too. I hope you may always find peace in the appreciation that you have grown in strength and bravery from every event, both good and bad, that make you YOU. I appreciate you. And I thank you for taking the time to be vulnerable here in your own comment, too. We are just getting started in our adventures, and I'm so glad you are here! 🔱

I really appreaciate your channel being the breath of fresh air from mindless critic I've been seeing about the show. This story is also very personal to me and so seeing other people not appreaciate the story they told through this show kinda breaks my heart a little. But, it doesn't matter. I enjoy the show nonetheless. Thank you for sharing your story with us. It's very brave of you to be able to talk about that with us. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure they are very proud of you for continuing. And I'm glad this show made you feel that way. As for me, the show ending brought me to tears because it started to sink in that the books I dearly love finally have a proper adaptation it deserves. And just like you, this show found me at the right time. It has been a long time since I read the books and so I almost completely forgot how much it made me feel. And now, watching it as an adult, with more experience and have deeper understanding of its themes made me feel so many emotions. They did specially well representing Percy's ADHD, which I was diagnosed only as an adult. Growing up, I was like Percy too struggling to fit in but the difference is that he knows he has adhd growing up. And so the first few episode about him feeling "broken" resonated so much with me. Hearing Sally Jackson's line comforting Percy (even just the hug) feels like healing ny inner child. I really appreciate the show for putting importance to that aspect of him. Anyway, welcome to camp halfblood! Looking forward to your future pjo reactions! ❤ I'm really grateful I found your channel throughout this journey. Hope you can watch/react to the behind the scene making of the show also in Disney+. You'll get to see how much passion and love they put out into making this show a reality.

I had such a blast watching this story come to life, and to be able to share that same excitement week to week with book fans and non fans alike. I know exactly what you mean about critics and nitpicking. It's part of why I wanted to do reactions my way, without really watching anyone else. My goal is to appreciate. I know there are hundreds and thousands of channels that have dedicated themselves to telling audiences what they think. But in an age of social media, anyone can tell you what they think. I want to tell people how things FEEL. And the best way to do that, in my opinion, is from appreciation that is rooted in authenticity and humility. I've learned a lot in this journey. About what moves me, where I notice my thoughts going, and how those thoughts shape the experience I'm having. My hope is that those ideas I try to manifest into words help elevate the art for all else who can appreciate it. Thank you for being a part of that journey. There are still many more to come (already scripting chapter one reaction/appreciation). It'll be interesting sharing my thoughts through my reading voice, instead of my brain fog impromptu thoughts. The only thing I have on the channel that's like that at the moment is my One Piece Live Action Review. Looking forward to many, many adventures!

Heres my attempt at my thoughts of the show There is a LOT this show did well, this finale stuck the landing on basically everything for me, My few thoughts on what happened throughout, The first reunion with his mom I think thats what actually happened, and it was a genuine reunion, it meant so much to Percy that he was dreaming about it when he got home That scene shows just how much Walker grew during filming, go rewatch the minotaur scene in episode 1, you can tell just how much taller he got Toby Stephens and Lance Reddick were perfectly done, with 5 minutes of screen time you could tell everything they were about. Both fight scenes were done well, and while I wish the Ares fight had 30 more seconds of actual combat, what was there was well done. Lastly, I already watched the hero's journey documentary and thoroughly enjoyed it, I'm not asking for a reaction to it, but I'd really like to hear your thoughts on it in some way, it adds so much personality to everyone.

thank you so much for your in-depth thoughts on the series, and for sharing the application to your personal journey. i’ve loved watching your reactions! you’ve shown how insightful you are in reflecting on the deeper messages, appreciating all its ups and downs, and commenting on the amazing work from actors and producers that went into it. even as someone who has read the books and already knew the story, every moment hit so hard for me as well. i wonder, did you already predict the twist with luke (or were you spoiled) ? i thought the show handled that particular situation incredibly well, even though how it went down in the books is a bit different. you’ll notice the changes when reading, but if you’re anything like me you’ll be able to appreciate the reasoning behind those changes in terms of improving the pacing and optimizing emotional pay-offs. i look forward to your book break downs and how it measures up to the show for you. agreed with everything else you had to say in all these reactions as well, the casting choices and performances were so good, especially considering more than half of them are still kids and developing their skills. the script writers knew what they were doing and carried out a clear vision, and i love that you can tell Rick had a big role in everything. that spirit of adventure and call to action carried throughout, and i know i will be rewatching this show all year as we wait for season 2! (sorry this comment is all over the place lol, i’m commenting as i watch) thanks again for sharing your thoughts and reactions, i look forward to watching them again for the next season!

Thank you so much for sharing all of these thoughts! I'm absolutely looking forward to the chapter analysis. Mostly because I have no idea what I'm doing. I probably won't watch anyone else do a chapter analysis either, so my format will probably be all over the place (which I'm sure you've noticed my reactions are too!) Thankfully enough, I didn't have Luke's involvement spoiled for me! But I do think that Luke being in Chiron's office and how quick everyone jumped at Clarisse without proof. Harry Potter taught me better than that. Anytime the finger points to a suspect early on, it's usually a misdirection. But I still appreciated the build-up to the reveal! I didn't want to seem too obnoxious that I'd figured it out. Nobody is watching to pat me on the back for that. 🤣 Sometimes, it's more fun to let things play out the way the storyteller intends. And I think this was such a case. The misty eyes Luke had when Percy finally accused him of being the lightning thief was SOO well done. I'd probably have stopped to talk more about it had I not just rambled on earlier about how the eyes convey so much in acting, and how acting from the eyes enhances the performance so much more. This cast and this story, well, the ENTIRE production really felt like such a cohesive package. And I don't think you arrive at a production like this unless it starts from love, extends to passion, and ultimately fun at the surface. This show embodied all three from the very first episode. I'm so impressed, and it certainly served its purpose to bring in even more general audiences into this imaginative world! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. It's honestly my favorite part about the KZbin reaction journey. Watching things and saying how I feel is fun, and seeing views and likes are all good and well, but I thoroughly enjoy the vicarious experiences I get to have as I, for a handful of words at a time, get to view the wirld from another perspective. Comments like this make the experience so special. I can't thank you enough, but I'll sure try! 🔱 - Nox

Eyes up, Guardian. He was power personified that elevated his beautiful soul. Fitting, he should be given god-like status before the end. 💙 Zeus. King of the gods no less!

I am curious to see which part of me wins over more in the analysis. The educator who finds a new understanding in the students that have been so excited by the books and series, or will the young adventurer growing up in the forests of Washington state win over? After all, every stick is a sword, and ever step an adventure for the young at heart, and as I wander into the sunset of my 30s, I know deep under that grown exterior, there is still a flash of a younger, wilder, and more free-spirited Nox waiting for the permission to set off on the journey. With any luck, aspects of both will come out, so I can show the whole breadth of my appreciation for a good story. Please keep me posted on your journeys as well!

@Noxiddar Yes! For me it has been thoroughly enjoying the adventure, heart, and complexes that come full circle. I briefly wished I had stuck with the series when I was in hs but I am glad that I get to full on fan girl about it now and consume the book and show at the same time. Rick Riordan has definitely become a favorite author of mine.

I had to go deep into my music folders to find it, but I did! The song is "I See You" by Hampus Naeselius. I found it going through the music library on Epidemic Sound. It really is such an epic concluding song!

@@Noxiddar I found that Gabe really deserved that. He was such an annoying person.

I'm definitely interested to see these characters as they exist in the books, for sure!

I blame Disney, they don't like those sort of things.

@@KaitheKnightly Rick too. He felt like actually seeing it live action might be too much. But he might be just saying that
