This storyline was interesting because it didn't just showcase the blossoming relationship of Kat and Christian but the divide it was putting within the friendships. For instance in the early stages of their relationship, it not only put a strain on Kat's friendship with Tara but her and Sammy's as well. In season one, it felt like Sammy was closest with Kat but throughout season two (especially during this storyline), his friendship with Tara grew exponentially and he was really there for her. Sammy had her back 1000% and made sure both Kat as well as Christian knew that what they did was horrible for Tara. Also after watching the series in its entirety, it's clear that Christian only began dating Kat because he was scared of how strong his feelings were for Tara. Of course Kat was a breath of fresh air for him in the beginning but this slowly began to erode as the season went on. The Peter Pan storyline laid out the different views of how Christian feels about both girls perfectly. Kat (Tinker bell) was always there for Christian (Peter Pan) and fun whereas Tara (Wendy) challenges him to be better than he is which makes him scared so he gives her up. This has to be one if not the best conclusion to a love triangle in television.

I always thought it was a bit two faced. Kat more easily accepted the fact that Tara was dating Ethan and forgave Tara more easily for cheating on her brother. Tara somehow forgot that and had a harder time forgiving Kat for kissing Christian even though they weren’t together at the time.

Hannah Chesnutt I feel like that has to do with each of their characters. Ethan was Tara’s first love and he changed Tara and Kat saw that. Christian on the other hand was an option for both Kat and Tara and he actively flirted with both. Tara never had to deal with a friend and ex possibly pursuing one another and it hurt her

I think what made this situation different was the magnitude of love that tara had for Christian and kat knew that but still did what she did which was what hurt tara so much. I think it was selfish of kat because she knew they still loved each other.
