Why are all analysts always talking about the veto of G2 being bad at the major? Niko and Hunter lost an atrocious 2v1 against aleksiB which lost them anubis straight up. If this had not happened they would have won the map and assuming they still won the second map they would have won the semifinals. Suddenly the veto does not look that bad.
@yanlei86459 күн бұрын
G2 has been defeated by navi seven times. AleksiB should say if rather than G2. No matter how many rounds they lose due to their mistakes, navi is always the winner finally. G2 was lucky in this match so they look like close to win, do not push out luck.

@@bradleyfirby648 1. Snax has been putting up OK numbers against Tier 2 and Tier 3 which is all that would ever be expected of Hooxi. 2. I expect better utility usage and timings from Snax. This is speculation. I don't have data to support this 3. In the last 3 months Snax has died less per round than Hooxi. 0.66 vs 0.73 DPR means he's died 7 less times out of 100 rounds. In a 13-11 game that means he dies approximately 2 less times. To me that is not an insignificant amount of economy saved particularly if those deaths are avoided on CT side. 4. There should be an excellent working relationship between him and Taz. I just hope it translates to the server. I'll be bold and say that G2 will make the playoffs of Shanghai and then they can only lose to Spirit. If they never play Spirit in the playoffs they win the major.
@davids812724 күн бұрын
@click9914 There is a big difference between Tier 1 and 2-3. They were outclassed in all of their major games, from eye test they didnt belong there at all. I still don't understand the GIGACHAD connection to Hooxi. Where did it came from ? Why? I was away from CS between 2017-2023 so I may have missed something .... To me, the G2 team has 2 stars , one decent player and 2 mediocre players (Hooxi Nexa) . Very puzzling set up , considering you just need about 1-2 more star players to really kick things off. Never heard of Hooxi or Nexa before.

Not to defend Hooxie, But you did kind of *prove* half the analyst desk doesnt know what theyre talking about at the last major. 😂 Or at the very least, they don't have much time to prepare for segments. Some of the predictions they made and stories they chose to hype up really left me scratching my head, like 'have we been watching the same games'? 'How can you guys so consistently hold reddit (wrong) opinions?'
@cally893425 күн бұрын
What are some examples and what would YOU have said or done differently?
@ToniTakuto25 күн бұрын
@@cally8934 That's a great question, hard to remember exactly. I remember them confidently making a majority wrong picks, and choosing to hype up inconsistent players. One easy example I *do* remember is them picking Eternal Fire over Navi, when Eternal Fire's map pool is entirely maps that Navi dominate on (Inferno). And picking Cloud9 over Vitality. Which should speak for itself, considering the roster's history, and the fact they've disbanded within a few months.

@@michaelmarlee2051 true, Richard calls out Hooxie in this video for going on stream with the desk and saying they don't know what they are talking about, which is not something a tier one igl should be doing after a loss. Nothing wrong with wanting a player out, but then also being respectful of their time on a team lol.
@nooobiechild24 күн бұрын
I'm sorry but I cannot agree with what you said about Blast World Finals 2022. First of all you mentioned the teams, as if G2 was playing against scrubs. You then saw that they beat Vitality, then Faze, then Team Liquid (okay, this one's pretty underwhelming), which immediately made you shift your focus onto the context of the game. You mentioned context and how most players have checked out, and G2 has only been able to win when people are checking out or just coming back from a vacation, therefore discounting their win for Katowice 2023 as well. As for pro league after Katowice, if we're going by "context", everyone is just coming back from a vacation, no? So shouldn't every team get a pass here? And then Cologne. You said it was a legit run. But then just before diving in, you undercut this by saying people were just playing CS2 at that point. Bottomline is, a win is a win, maybe except the win against Jame crashing. I'm a brain-dead G2 fan, and I know they could've done better without Hooxi. But let's hate on the guy rationally. He has the aim of a gold nova master, and he needs his teammates to bail him out damn near every game. But that's all I'll say about him. The amount of hate you're giving him is like a basketball fan hating on LeBron and undercutting his every achievement. I'm a huge LeBum hater, but even I wouldn't go as far as Skip Bayless. Don't go there, Richard. You're much better than that.

Ideally I'd be booting Yekindar too (insanely high salary and not great) but maybe he'll do better if hooxi's there to take some of the entry load off his shoulders plus keeping him lets you keep the core for the EU RMR. There's not a world where Twistzz is a better IGL and I would be shocked if Twistzz doesn't tank his game trying to IGL. perennial top ~10 player dev1ce ex-teammate jabbi young talent staehr stavn (in groupstages) That's a good roster. Hooxi doesn't need to be some superstar IGL with dev1ce jabbi and staehr. Did you just forget that jabbi literally came up under hooxi? That's definitely going to be better in 6 months than this current lineup and has a higher overall ceiling. br0 isn't even a problem, he's just the obvious player to remove since you don't want to touch the other four but you also don't want dev1ce to IGL. His numbers look alright so far but it's being heavily boosted by DPR/KAST, he's at his lowest ever KPR and you don't tend to IMPROVE by being an IGL for a longer stretch.
