I’m absolutely devastated, been playing since the beginning. Spent so much time and effort and it’s all just gone. I hope they find a way for us to keep our towns and play with the content that’s already in the game. I feel like it’s hardly any warning though, like surely at least give us a year or so? omg, apparently the game stopped bringing them the necessary income and they decided to just delete it? Okay, stop the servers, remove the online features of the game, but why delete it? They could have just made it offline, open access to content from previous updates. Thanks to EA for such a "tribute" to all the fans.

I remember downloading the game back in 2012 when I was a kid but deleting it cause of all the micro transactions and getting bored of having to wait for everything to get built. But just last month while scrolling through the App Store for games to download I decided to give the game another chance and long story short I got addicted and made pretty good progress in just the time I’ve been playing. So yeah, honestly this news just sucks I wish I got back into it sooner.

This feels like losing an old friend almost, although I'm glad we're being given every item in the game's history, easy ways to get donuts, and some time to still play it before everything goes away. I'm hoping that someone will figure out how to make it still function after it's shut down as I'm really going to miss playing it. Also even though it wasn't in the update files, I'm hoping we're finally given Gil after all these years as a final little parting gift at some point

I’m very sad. I just got my friend to build his town and play this game, I’m farming donuts at level 939 with rat trap trucks so I was able to give him insight and show him how the game works. Heard this game a long time ago. First played in Dec 2021. My town slowly grown over the years and it was an enjoy experience. I was once featured in your video. I came crumbling apart when I realized the game makes me do this tiring SETTING JOBS all the time and it makes me not focus on my school work. This game is so distracting and exhausting that I can get punished for focusing on the game too much. This game ACTUALLY ruined my life! My Tapped Out adventure ended on March 2024 and is the day I completely stop playing the game to end the exhausting cycle. But still, hearing about this game being gone is sad. I’m gonna miss it. Even though this game gives some disadvantage on it, is still a relaxing memberable game. This will be forever in my memories.

The Simpsons: Tapped Out shutting down in 2025 and EA moving away from licensed IPs could be a sign that THQ Nordic may possibly acquire the Simpsons game license from EA in the future. (Disney and THQ Nordic did release Epic Mickey: Rebrushed recently, so i guess THQ Nordic releasing future Simpsons games does make sense)

J'ai cru que c'était une blague au début, puis j'ai vu que nous n'étions pas en Avril... merde nous étions une petite fan base à jouer à ce jeu, c'est injuste de faire disparaître notre progression de plusieurs années en un claquement de doigts... la faute à qui si ce jeu est mort depuis des années ? La faute aux prix abusifs des donuts et des bâtiments, la faute aussi au manque d'ajouts pratiques dans le jeu, comme un éditeur de ville, la faute au manque de possibilité de créer des clans, tchats etc... et c'est nous qui payons par la faute de EA... enfin bref c'est triste, ils nous laissent 3 mois pour faire quoi ? Autant nous donner des donuts infinis pour qu'on s'amuse un peu avant la fin et avoir un ultime screen de notre Springfield adoré. ❤

Well that’s unfortunate I was hoping to play today also but this new update has also made the game inaccessible as I keep trying to load it and it’s showing with errors I’ve deleted it and reinstalled it.. yeah.. that’s annoying EA have never even cared that there game just didn’t load half of the time sad this game really went to waste in its final years.

I have been logging on twice per day for over two years. I hoped one day I could have a really cool thing I could show off but my minimal but consistent efforts have been wasted. I had even been saving donuts for thanksgiving (I saved over 1k).

Very sad but I don't think that can be the end! Wouldn't it be an idea to get stars, celebrities, youtube stars who are Simpsons fans or had guest roles there to stand up for the game? That you should write to them and speak out loudly in favour of it and use their medial reach? And can't Matt Groening or other authors stand up for it? We fans are united here in the comments or in the forums, but outside of that hardly anyone takes any notice. A protest or protest camp in front of EA headquarters, Disney, Foxx etc. would also be a media statement. Lisa Simpson sometimes protested alone for her ideal with a sign, why don't we do the same as Lisa and fight for our game? Even out in the real world. We could even make history by saving a game 👍 I even have the following suggestions: If it's the money, why not continue to run the game as a subscription pay game? For a certain amount per month, I think that would be reasonable for real fans and you could pay the server costs and new events in the long term. I'm optimistic that the game can be saved! What do you think? Please share my opinion if you are of the same opinion. It's not too late! PS So that the files are not lost after January 2025, you could initiate a crowfunding donation so that the files are stored on a server until a solution is found as to whether the game will be relaunched under a new operator.

EA said they are working to fix it. They claim that currency will be very easy to access once they’ve sorted out the exchanges. I believe there are issues due to the sheer volume of transactions
