That's what I was about to mention, was that they took what they think the aftermath of the bomb would like, straight from fallout 3, if you search up fallout 3 Washington dc and compare it to this video on some of the locations, they are freaking identical. the same wall and top head looking piece of the Whitehouse I think is what they show are identically damaged in the same spots.

@@asianlifter Soviet Union for example? not to mention the Chinese word for China is literally 'Middle Kingdom' or 'Middle Realm' ( 中国 Zhōngguó), I mean 'Greater Nazi Reich' is virtually the same thing, its the extended version of the original Reich or realm. You have to also realise that names of countries are not inherent, for example at one point Germany meant 'shouting or noisy' in Gaelic and the actual German word for Germany, 'Deutschland' means 'of the people' in Proto-Germanic. No modern country names have any inherent value, they were made at some point from an idea or other word, so why should a political party, Nazism, be any different? Eventually it might become the name for Germany in this alternate universe.

Some people hated the ending of this show, calling it another Game of Thrones disaster, but I was satisfied with how everything concluded. John Smith had to die in the end, he was an anti-hero, but still, he wasn't the protagonist of the story. Juliana Crain was. Everyone should be happy for a good adaptation of a great book.

People aren't really mad he died its the manner in which he died, also they producers meant for more seasons so the ending was very rushed and forced, back to the first point he was by far the most interesting and well-developed character of the show in my opinion and for him to be killed off in such a way felt wrong, granted I did like what he said before he killed himself about how a good man went through the wrong door and this is where he got, I just felt all of the rebellious actions he put up throughout the show was for nothing in the end when he just was continuing what the Reich did, in the end, I just feel he deserved a more respectful death than the one he got.

In this day and age, bringing a TV show to a satisfying conclusion is like leading a civil conversation on Facebook - basically impossible. But I'm just glad they didn't pull a GoT Season 8 ending. At least it concluded and won't drag on for another 4-5 seasons, altho I would've like myb one more.

To me, it was way worse than GoT. They screwed around in S1-2 and the audience bailed. They wasted time on Joe and Frank, who were so useless they had to be killed off early. A good main character is someone who has to stick around till the end. Then Amazon pulled the plug because the audience was gone and they didn't have time to finish the story they set up at all.

Yeah because a nuke isn't a bulldozer. Stone or concrete buildings in Hiroshima were also rather left in ruins than completely obliterated. The difference is that Japanese cities at the time were still largely constructed out of wood which of course won't withstand a nuclear blast.

This show could easily have had 6 seasons. Why did they have to end it at Season 4 and rush it? We could have explored John's arc in much more detail. We could have seen some more world building maybe having the resistance go to other parts of the world in covert secret missions. Could have seen how locations like London, Paris and even parts of occupied Russia and how they were Germanised. We could have explored Africa as well and seen how the Germans exactly implemented their genocidal plans on that continent. Hell we even could have seen China's ongoing war against Japan. So much wasted potential for this IP.

I agree with you & as a Brit I was struggling to understand how the Nazi's could shut Churchill & the British Commonwealth, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa down. Not to mention the Middle East & the Worldwide Royal Navy bases, Gibraltar, Falklands, etc etc. Honestly I think the show would've been improved by dropping some of the character based storylines & having a closer look at the World & the challengers faced by the Nazi's.

I only just got around to watching S4. This show needed at least another season but I think Amazon told them to forget it because the audience dropped too much due to them screwing around in S1-2 in a boring way. Should have crammed all that into one season, gotten to the multiverse by the end of S2, and then spent the rest of S3-5 kicking ass. Oh well, missed opportunities. Really what we needed was a final season where the Reich takes over the Western half of the US and meets resistance plus then the "real" world gets involved from the multiverse. They skipped the best part of the story!

Remember, Roosevelt had been assassinated so presumably the US didn't get into the war till too late. Maybe even that is a stretch as an explanation but it's okay. The real problem is that they dithered around in the writing, had two main characters so useless they had to kill them off early (Joe and Frank), and didn't have enough time left for the best part of the whole story! They wasted time on irrelevancies and didn't have time left over for the good stuff.

Honestly this entire series is so confusing with the extreme amount of retconning needed to have make any sense. Atom bomb in 1945 would have taken out 8 blocks of D.C. but they make it seem like a hydrogen bomb went off. The technology to even make the nuke and uranium was not even available in Europe and small bits had to be sent from Japan. Even with Roosevelt dead Keynes was still alive so his economic theories were still around. They need to completely retcon Germany deciding to cross the channel to invade Britain when UK still had very little support from the US and they also had Radar without the US help. ALSO the UK had broken the enigma codes by then...arghhh. I like the idea but the way they aligned the years is annoying. For this to work it would have taken way longer so Nazi's would not have won until 1955 or even later. Also they assume that Japan focused more on Russia then America when Russia had 40 battalions that could have still been deployed against the Germans. It also assumes the Germans never got bogged down in the Soviet Winter!?!?!?

This was a good show right about until they brought back everyone who had ever died through that fucking portal! U know what scrap that the entire portal fuckery should have been re worked. The Nazis should have rolled through them portals and showed all the alternate universe the power of the Reich. This show was good I liked it cause Smith was a complex character I even loved how they made him feel remorse at the end in that train.
