Welcome to PA. One thing that’s great about living in Philly and areas nearby is that you’re close to several cities but you also don’t have to go far to be in the country. Upstate PA is gorgeous in autumn when the leaves are changing colors.

I was based in Philly for a short period of time. What a hell hole that place was. Transferred to CLT, couldn’t be happier. Stayed there until I retired 3 years ago after 35 years of service. Good luck with your new adventure.

Congratulations on your next chapter you will do great in PHL. My sister retired from AA and I remember when she started as a Flight Attendant in DFW and I helped her by driving her car (I was in the military stationed on OKC) to Miami as she transferred there in 1998. And that for her was also challenging but she made it through meeting knew friends, crew members and supervisors, So I know you will do the same, the best always.

Good luck on your move! If I could offer any advice after 3 big moves I did in the past year, wrap all furniture in moving blankets with lots of plastic wrap and tape, and fit everything else into boxes to be able to stack them in the truck all the way up to the ceiling. I made the mistake of boxing up only 2/3 of our stuff, and the rest got tossed in, with some dents and scratches as a result. Cheers!

You will fall in love with it! Lately, ive been having alot of my layovers in philly whenever i fly out west and i always make sure that i have a long layover so i can have a deliciously cheesesteak at Geno"s steaks in Terminal A. The line is 30 minutes. That's how good it is.

I've also heard, from another AA FA who's DFW-based (but I can't remember who at the moment), that there are about 6,500 AA FAs based at DFW alone - do you have any idea how many are based at PHL? It so good to hear your perspective on delays. I was recently delayed 6 1/2 hrs going back home from Las Vegas so instead of landing by 4:30 pm, it was midnight instead. I never found out why but we did get a $100 flight credit good for one year and $40 in airport food vouchers so not too bad. It may have been nice to know the reason though because I agree, a safe flight is always the best thing!

Happy Birthday 🎈. Delays are not just mechanical. I was just on a flight coming home from Denver to Minneapolis, our plane was about 3 hours delayed in which arrived at 3a. I’m just glad it wasn’t cancelled. We tried to find out why the delay, they wouldn’t tell us. It’s a little frustrating as a passenger. I assumed the crew timed out or there was a delay elsewhere that caused the issue.
