Hi Luke, I am 70 years old. I enjoy your videos and I enjoy your character. Life is 90% attitude. You have a good attitude. You also have two four letter words that follow you called hard work. Most guys your age don't even understand what that is. Keep it up. The dividend will be paid with the ethics and morals that you have. Here's to a successful 2024.

As a garbage man my crab pots are trash cans, I only put them out once but a pick them up constantly, I captain my trash truck all alone. Watching you crabbing and fixing boats, trucks, equipment and well everything. Is awesome! Keep up the good work, it’s hard but honest work. Be proud and Congratulations. Growing your family is just as hard as work but the payoff is priceless.

Luke! How on earth could you feel like you have not accomplished ‘enough’ this year! Someone has brainwashed you into thinking that your only value is in how much work you do in a day. You are so much more than that! Burnout is real and can take a long time to recover from. Get some rest, have some fun, enjoy your new married life. You have a drive that few people have but you need to remember to take care of yourself too! I look forward to seeing your next big adventure, whenever that may be.

It's just how all of us seasonal business owners feel at the end of the season. We have to save all season and pray there's no unexpected expenses that pop up until the season starts again. We just feel like maybe I should work until the weather stops me. But you gotta know when to fold em. He's making the right call.

You rock, Luke! I don't know how you do everything you do. Take a break and a breath. It's so important to pace ourselves. The crabs and breaking equipment will always be there. Enjoying being with yourself and your wonderful new wife. And don't feel bad about resting. We all need to recharge. One day, I hope to shake your hand. I was at Rumor Reel last night and thought of you. You've become lore in the Dena. You have become an important voice for Chesapeake watermen. I told my friends all about you. We were out on our boat yesterday as well. It was a beautiful day to have a last day in the boat out on the Bay. When we got to Rumor Reel in the evening, we had a toast in your honor. May 2024 be an even bigger year for you work, your channel, and the fun awareness you bring to our beloved Bay life. And may all your dreams come true!

Your scaffolding idea is a great idea but what we do in Alaska sometimes is it's kind of like your scaffolding but if you put heavy either Lane x or heavy plastic it's the same kind people use on like dog sleds or stuff like that and you make sure you countersink the screws but if you put those pieces of plastic on there they'll slide much better and it's less wear and tear on the pots

Old guy here who operated a couple of my own startups and I can tell you the most difficult part is getting to a volume of customers on your own so you can then expand with equipment upgrades and regular full time employees. Sometimes partnerships with someone you can trust and is in the same position as you can effectively get you and them over the hump and allow both parties to grow at a higher pace together than they would otherwise apart

Dude I’m really impressed by your work ethic, it’s becoming hard to find in today’s society. My prayers go out to you and I’d love to see you engulfed by crabs in 2024. I want to see the video of your baskets being load with jumbo male crabs and stacked 3 high on the roof. Just never know, I’ll never forget my dad’s biggest year and having to haul crabs to 3 different places all in opposite directions because he had flooded Delaware’s market. He had bushel baskets stacked 4 high on the truck, 3 high on the trailer and I’d have to meet him at the dock to pick up the gear and gas cans because they had absolutely no room for anything else. We got amazing pictures that year of his loads, had them all printed, framed and hung on what we named the “haul of fame”. We got central air that year and we didn’t eat crabs everyday they were replaced with steak. Keep setting goals and chasing them down!
