Like we have been seeing them fight for months only for it to end, then we get three-ish chapters explaining a little bit of what's going on in the JJK world now, then we get a regular mission chapter and then that's it! I have no issue with Gojo being dead. My issue is with how Gege has mishandled the aftermath of his death by trying to mitigate it and Gojo’s overall meaning to the cast. Everyone had a connection to Gojo and the fact that his death is glossed over feels like a slap in the face. I liked the portion we got with Sukuna talking to Mahito but again how much more impactful would that moment have been to readers if we got Sukuna’s backstory that explores his connection to Uraume whom appears to be the only person in his life that Sukuna legitimately cares about like they’re his own child. Just another missed opportunity for the story. My guess is that the other person shown on his diverging paths besides Uraume might be his actual mother???

Nah not me. My expectations were low to begin with, but I really liked the bit with Sukuna and Mahito. I know I'll get hate for it, but the whole series is an 8/10 for me. I do find it interesting that most people upset are people who want more, which really shows how much people loved the series. Lost potential? Sure. But I enjoyed the ride. Just my opinion though

Imagine if we learned about Sukuna’s backstory about his upbringing and becoming the king cursed/the fallen one. It would have made his last monologue made me feel something. But Gege can’t write for shit so the whole story is a mess and Sukuna’s last minute character development feels forced and unsatisfying(anyone with half a brain already knew Sukuna was deluding himself into thinking he was curse when in reality he was a tragic character who was not loved by society so he used his strength to cope with his loneliness and inner pain of not being truly loved as a child.) Plot lines went no where character arcs feel rush and non existent for most of the main cast and gojos last screen time is just gege projecting himself because his only best written character is the only one we care for in the end. Truly the jujutsu to our kaisen. What a disappointment. Gege cooked in fights, power system, and designing cool characters with little to no depth(yuji, nanami, toji, yuta, gojo, geto, maki, and Choso only characters with depth) but story became a train wreck in the end. 7.5/10. Thank you Gege for Gojo and cursed energy lol

if everyone jumped sukuna alongside gojo, then sukuna wins. once he wins the first domain clash like in the modern story, everyone is getting cooked since this is a full power meguna, and not the weakened heiankuna. the only one surviving MS is gojo, who would lose to sukuna just like he did in canon, and then there is no one left to take advantage of the brain damage that sukuna suffered because of gojo.

Assuming Gino’s dialogue is Gege saying what you think, I believe Gege is misunderstanding Gojo fans here. We aren’t upset that Gojo died, anyone with half a brain knew he had to lose the battle against Sukuna in some way and that would likely end up in him dying. We are upset how he killed him (off panel and abruptly) and the whole “I could have never beaten Sukuna even if he didn’t have the ten shadows” bullshit dialogue, that is why we are upset.

Gojo wasn't "offscreened" in the same way other characters are typically off screened. We lost 1-2 pannels at most of sukuna shooting the slash and it hitting gojo, gege probably didn't include that to give the anime freedom with the final attack(at least that would be my best guess, so they have no restrictions on how they portray it). And i mean you can complain about that line all you want but it's true. At the end of the day gege decides who win's and loses. Who is the strongest yatta yatta. Gojo and sukuna are gege, so if anyone has the right to say one would beat the other it's him even if you don't interpret it that way(and that's fine), that doesn't make it bad though nor would gege care about that cuz it's just personal taste at that point.

What counts is what the consistency with what the author has shown so far in their work, not what htey make a character say because they wanted to make them say it or do. If for example a snail gave a beating to the Hulk just because Stanlee wants to, that doesn't mean it's not bullshit. It would be bulshit because it would be inconsistent. However, even if all of what I said in this response was false that still wouldn't defeat my point because my point is not wether what he did was bad or not, my point is that (assuming Zohnin is right on what he did with Gojo in this last scene) he doesn't seem to actually understand the reasons Gojo fans are upset, which are the reasons liste above. Honestly Gege should've shown how Gojo died instead of killing him off screen with Sukuna's world cutting slash. That would've been a better way to say that Gojo is dead permanently and have the characters actually mourn for him after the Sukuna fight. I don't mind that some stuff isn't fully explained or explored. The open ending is fine but yeah Gege kind of fumbled the epilogue.

So they have showcased evidence of reincarnation/rebirths of souls more than once in the anime. Then entirety of Yuji's domain sequence had heavy Buddhist refences in it. So in this world rebirth of a soul is a thing. Yuji's father was the reincarnated soul of Sukuna's bother; There is also an in between stage of this rebirth with in Buddhist teachings referred to as bardo, which could be what was used as a reference for what we are seeing here in this chapter as well as some of the other ones. So your confusion on this is may mostly a cultural disconnect, or just not remembering the references that support what we are seeing in this final chapter. His saying if there is a next time I think is just saying if he gets another go in the cycle, at lest that my interpretation; And this kind of confirms that Yuji not only won the physical battle but the battle of ideologies to the point he swayed the king of curses. As for Sukuna's form we know he can change it at will. Which is brought up at some point when he is asked why he didn't just look like himself considering they knew he could change form. Lol I hate your comment section so much. I definitely do have my gripes for the series conclusion, most of it having to do with what it wasn’t rather than what it was. In general, and maybe it’s just me projecting my expectations but it REALLY does feel like Gege had so much more to his story and universe that he wanted to flesh out and while I really can only speculate, I would say this is an extension of JJK’s overarching issue of how Gege paces things. While I feel like Gege’s breakneck pacing is part of what makes his story so addicting, it feels like as a result, he doesn’t fully flesh out loose ends, character deaths (showing the aftermath, reactions, and having the consequences apparent), and just plot points in general. JJK has the skeleton of an in depth 400 chapter manga except slimmed almost in half. That being said, the ending was a passable send off. It definitely wasn’t as egregious as people were letting on lol. Anyways, thank you so much for your coverage of this series over the years. Got into your channel initially for MHA and OPM in like 2019 or something and watched your reviews right as the culling game was just starting in the manga. You’ve done an amazing job with all the theory crafting, weekly reviews and jjk updates over time. Easily been my favourite jjk reviewer out of all the other channels doing it lol. On paper this ending at first seemed terrible and in so many ways it is regarding the speed in which it moved. BUT, if you really think about what it means symbolically, and what these last few chapters have been trying to convey the ending is honestly better than you think. I was upset about a few things after leaks, especially with no mention of who that geto look alike was but then again the story has been trying to tell us it doesn’t matter. The ending to me is simply trying to convey that these characters have the strength to chose there own path, regardless of where the story took them, in the end they all got a chance to chose where they want to go. Sukunas path to me was especially interesting to me as on paper he should never have any doubt in his beliefs, but then again his beliefs on talent, strength, and love have been shattered multiple times in his fight against the sorcerers. He was so arrogant to these concepts and because of his own pride and selfishness he automatically assumed he understood what these concepts meant. But true talent isn’t just being born with talent because there are those who’s potential can out shine there’s. True strength isn’t just being born with strength, the strength to forgive and face one’s self is also strength. And true love isn’t just as plain as to say you love someone, as seen by yuji love can be shown be empathy and guidance. All this to say jjk ending to me on a symbolic note was great. The problems are still there ofc w the crazy pacing but I can still say gege wrapped up the theme of jjk in a great way.

Let me break it down for all of you why Sukuna is considering taking on a new path. He's been inside Yuuji, has been watching all his actions, all his memories, then there's that Yuuji Domain Expansion where Yuuji told him his story. Sukuna's story was about revenge and about being neglected as a child and no one wants him aside from Uraume and Yoruzo. Yuji could get what he wants considering he has superhuman abilities (without CT and CE) he chose to be humble and live his own life with positivity and enjoy it. Sukuna has none of those. He only lived the only way he knows how without anyone to guide him along the way since he's an unwanted child and is neglected by society in his time. By observing how Yuji lived and how he endured all those things that was done by Sukuna, Yuji still remained Human and Sukuna lost to someone who didn't left their humanity. If all of you are unable to understand any of this then you guys are the problem. Also All of you never understood Gojo and his mindset. Since Gojo is the strongest there is in the modern era, he has no one to challenge him and considering his bff turning over to the dark side. That's why he wants to guide the young sorcerers to be the strongest versions of them. He does not want anyone of them to turn out the way he is, being the strongest there is. Also Gojo wants a warriors death, he doesn't want any of them to be affected by his death also because for Him he's only a guide for them to achieve their strongest version. So stop with attacking Gege because Gojo died or stop bringing him back because Gojo doesn't want to go back. Gojo brought back up to life doesn't make any sense. Also not everything has to be shown to you especially about Kenjaku, Tengen, the Merger or any of that shit because it's all irrelevant now. Kenjaku is dead, Since Tengen was consumed by Sukuna and Sukuna lost Tengen is also non-existent now. The trigger for the merger is also irrelevant because the only trigger for it is every player in the culling games us dead, well that didn't happen did it?
