Former 3 star recruit here, #86 definitely won the drill. This OL v DL drill difficulty is honestly dependent on the coaches overseeing it. If they just let DL bull rush and use moves it’s almost impossible for the OL to get a clean stop. However, that being said if they want you to use a specific sequence like Chop-Club-Rip or Pass Rush sets with NO bull rush type moves allowed. Then it becomes almost impossible for the DL to get a fair shake since we would literally never do that in a game and aren’t trained to. So unfortunately, just from my own personal experience I’d say this drill is really just for looks and fun competition.

The drill within itself is really not all that translative to the actuality of in game pass rush and ESPECIALLY without pads. Just for working a specific tech or competition and fun. lol 86 did great here. But it’s not a drill you can actually judge either player with. It’s almost impossible with equally matched players for the o-line to win…and yet he did undeniably win the second run and probably would have won the third. It’s just always incredibly funny to see defense players talk shit on drills like these as though they’re just totally unstoppable studs. Odds are that this is the last time we hear dude’s name.

Told us never to do a spin move this ain’t dancing with the stars quit trying to look cool you might be able to get it sometimes 1v1 with no pads but in a game that shit don’t work.
