I just realized that this game did the whole "perform a finishing move on enemies, to regain health"- mechanic over 10 years, before the new Doom games did.

The already-dead bodies of them you find on the ground often have sluggas in their hands instead; the original idea was probably for them to have both kinds of weapon just like they do in-setting but presumably it was something cut at some point to save time and money during development, presumably keeping them melee-only made them easier and cheaper

The Warhammer universe has really interesting factions and stories. I'm looking forward to the new Amazon series with Henry Cavill!

God I wish I could still play this game. I got it on Steam but for some reason it's not working with Windows 11. It just starts and then immediately crashes.

I’d reinstall it…something got corrupted is my guess. I play it on Win11 just fine

@@joeschmoe5608 tried that four times now. verified files each time too, kept coming up with "two files" missing/corrupted. they were redownloaded and I still get the immediate crash.

I had a similar issue, launch it in windowed mode and then rescale it to your resolution. That fixed it for me
