I think it’s important to note, that despite his reservations, Harry was impressed that Moore took the time to study the state statutes. He realized that even though the department was throwing her to the wolves to satisfy the mayor’s whim, Moore prepared the best she could.

God that scene is such a classic. Its so hilarious.🤣🤣🤣😅😄. Don't know on why, but most scenes like this in old movies I don't remember, but do remember watching that scene the very 1st time as a child when watching this old Dirty Harry movie for the very first time. My dad and grandpa was laughing their butts off on that scene and as a young child back then could not figure out on why they were laughing at it for. But some years after obviously finally figured it out.

You can tell Harry respects officer Moore for standing up to him. ('Well it's my ass' ) And the way he was looking at her as she was answering his question at the end of the video clip.

Harry was the only one asking questions that mattered. He wanted to know Moore’s experience making arrests, if her physical prowess is up to fitness standards, and her knowledge of the laws.

Hehe, they might as well have called the Dirty Harry trilogy ''Inspector Callahan VS The World''. Unlike what some diversity hires think, good candidates actually know what to say during an interview and demonstrate their skills. Although soon-to-be Inspector Moore does not have experience compared to some officers, the fact that she has a grasp of the legal stance from the situation and the signs of a textbook memory make her skills very valuable. Regardless of race or sex, getting the person with the right skills into the right job cannot be mandated but only via competition with others of similar qualification and demonstration.

Harry is concerned about her lack of ability to survive dangerous situation due to lack of encountered with criminals. Moore is intelligent a good detective, good work ethics, strong sense of justice and she dont think like Mrs Grey.
