For anyone in the price range, I highly suggest the anbernic r36s. I got it shipped to me for under $40 total and it runs everything up through n64 extremely well and only runs into performance issues on dreamcast and psp and other systems that came out after the n64. The stock OS was basically just emulation station and the settings were good for the most part.

That DRAM issue must have been accidental. I can't see that being an intentional choice. Maybe they committed to the design early and it would be too expensive to redesign and fix it?

Yea I think it was accidental too. Like I said, a further away DRMA chip won't make the device not work, but the experience will be painful for sure! I do think this was the exception and not the norm . . . well I for sure hope so!
