I’ve played this episode twice but only on a Romulan and Reman character, by sheer coincidence. So if TOS captains like Hale are brought to the year 2409 by Daniels that suggests that, in this timeline, Daniels brought Hale and his crew to the 25th century in order to be the Tholian's labor force. How did that conversation go exactly? Daniels: As far as history remembers your ship was destroyed over Caleb 4 by Kor's forces, a noble sacrifice the Federation will never forget. But I have good news Captain. I'm bringing you and your crew to the 25th century. There you'll be hauling cargo and performing other manual labor tasks for the Tholians. Hale: Well.....shit.
@christopherg23474 жыл бұрын
That is a continuity error. Introduced when they added the TOS origin, and never fixed as it was too minor. Still, it vexes me quite a bit. It is one thing for a person born in that centuri to he a captain for the Tholians, but not a time displaced person. I mean, there should not even *be* Daniels Timecops group to rescue him and send him back.
@Werezilla4 жыл бұрын
@@christopherg2347 There is one slight issue. Walker still exists onboard his timeship. If he exists, the organization exists. Including Daniels. I love the staying in character throughout these. It sells the immersion to the stories. Although this might be the one Chapter that kind of breaks the flow of the Mark Hale 23 Century a Time traveler backstory. The temporal incursion here should not have effected Captain Hale’s memory much. Because he literally jumped over the point of temporal incursion. He would have landed in a universe without the Federation, but he would still be familiar with time travel weirdness. As soon as Castillo and Tasha Yar started babbling at him about being from other times and believed heroically destroyed ships he would have been like “oh, you too? There’s a lot of that going around!” The same with his crew that time jumped with him. They would remember each other. Remember the differences between how humans and Iconian minds react to time travel. And this is why Time Travel makes everybody’s Brains hurt.

And it does not compare with her previous Voice acting, like in Diablo 1. # You said Elims Voice did not match his body, but they do have the original actor for the role. 14:00 I guess sensing disruptions in the timeline is not a Guinan only thing! 18:00 I remember that Story being told in one of the Series. 25:20 Tasha Yar is such a backseat driver! I really miss the exploration/farming missions where you went into cluster-zones on the star map and random missions were spawned (farm in space, farm on a planet; some areas had random aliens to fight). It was fun to pretend you were exploring unexplored areas in space/planets. Some planets even had buildings which might appear advanced, but were abandoned; although I know it was a random map, it was always fun to imagine who would have left such advanced tech/buildings uninhabited? What happened to the inhabitants? Despite being simple farming missions, I felt those missions made Star Trek Online more immersive and it really gave the spirit of exploration to Star Trek.

My guess is that this chapter makes a lot more sense for 25th century players. 23rd century and Discovery era characters don't quite fit as well. If there's no Federation in the future of that universe, then there's no Daniels to bring them to the 25th century, and Hale would be either dead in the 23rd century, or way too old to be commanding a freighter.

@@joshuagenna3635 Not really. [player character] is still critical to those events, and if there's no Daniels, then [player character] dies fighting the Klingons in the 23rd century, and never takes part in those events. Neither does Tarsi, T'met, or Skavrin for that matter. Those BOFFS are unique to TOS era players, and come to the future with you. Most sources I've found place it as a story event after the Iconian war, along with the rest of Yesterday's War. I didn't immediately notice any plot points that would conflict with it being before the Iconian war, so I guess it could go either before or after. I dunno I have to question the Yesterday's Enterprise timeline. Because a 20 year war between Starfleet and the Klingons ending in a Federation defeat would only be a pyyrhic victory for them. Simply because they wouldn't have enough forces to occupy all of the Federation's member worlds. There would be uprising from other Klingon conquered worlds across the empire; 20 years of war is a strain on industrial resources and personnel. The Klingons would have to relinquish control over some of the worlds they conquered but, Earth they must have a sizable occupational force to maintain. Next, with the Klingon forces spread thin in attempts to crush the uprising that are going on across the empire; you can expect that the opportunistic Romulans to launch a campaign on the Klingon empire. The Romulans wouldn't sweep the Empire with five years leaving them the Imperial super power in the Alpha and Beta quadrant. The only ones who could threaten the Romulans are the Cardassians, the Tholians, and the Breen if they became an alliance. The Ferengi could be but, not enough is known about their military capabilities to say. With the Federation and Klingon empire conquered Bajor remains occupied by the Cardassians and the wormhole is never discovered on the Alpha quadrant side of the galaxy. That would be the state of the Alpha quadrant for at 500 years by my estimates.
