Great video man! And I can confirm as fact. There are a few engineering issues with both 8th and 9th gen civic si's. - Oem shifter bushings are good, but not great and aid in failed mishits. Hybrid racing and acuity make high quality decently Q/A controlled solutions, that increase successful shift %. - Additionally, both the slave, and master cylinders have delay valves implemented in their design which literally slows down the action between clutch pedal and pressure plate movement. Purchasing a EM1 (oem honda), Exedy, Hybrid racing or other high quality Q/A tested solutions that have no delay valve and offer long mileage and hard yes will increase the successful shift % SIGNIFICANTLY. (Ensure it's properly adjusted as well at the clutch pedal) - OEM shifter base bushings also move around slightly as their not solid. Energy suspension and a few other brands make solutions for replacements that stop that slop. Two other things that MAY help subjectively. Solid engine mounts help the engine transfer vibrations to chassis as opposed to just shaking the hell out of itself. That does help with anything on the engine stay a little more stable motion wise. Couldn't hurt. AND Shift knob choice. I think that's important too. Any who cheers!

Facts I am a witness to this. The only thing I haven’t done is the slave and master. I have acuity base bushings and shift linkage. Also shift collar upgrade and mishimoto shift knob

Dont. You would be hard downgrading on that one sure the interior may look better but that's it.

Does this car feel somewhat quick ? I'm looking for a daily driver with a manual transmission that's reliable and decent in gas and has some power to make it feel kind of fun to drive I'd rather get a Subaru WRX because I like how they look for a sedan it's got more of an aggressive and sporty style to it than the Civic Si and it's got more power and is AWD and it will feel like I'm in an actual sports car and doing pulls would feel better because it's got more power and If I wanted to I could race other cars and do decent the Civic Si I think would have to be boosted I think the WRX is the compete package but I'm worried about the reliability stereotype

The Si's real strength is in the cornering ability. It is very responsive to steering inputs, and balanced in the middle of a corner, and thanks to the limited slip it continues to grip in the middle of it. (A 2015 WRX also uses a limited slip if I recall). In my opinion you'll get the most out of the Si on a nice, twisty back road. (The Si is also a couple hundred pounds lighter). It will lose to the wrx in a drag race. The nature of NA 4 bangers is that you have to rev the crap out of them to make power, so the Si doesn't feel quick until you get to around 4400-5000 rpms, when the vtec comes on. That being said, a 2015 wrx makes more torque down low, (258 lbft @ 2000 rpms, 268 hp @ 5600 rpms vs the Honda's 174 lbft @4400 rpms, 205 hp @ 7000 rpm). In that respect, the Subaru will get off the line much quicker, and pull harder, so it depends on if you want more power or better handling. With that said, I enjoy high revving NA engines due to their responsiveness to inputs. When it comes to reliability, you can't go wrong with a Honda. The 2015 Civic Si has no recalls on it, (Although the base model civics with the Auto gearbox had one. Since the Si was only available with a manual, it was not affected) while the 2015 WRX has 3 recalls, one minor and two that can cause some problems. I'll link it below. At the end of the day, I'd say test drive both of them and see which one suits your style more. www.autobytel.com/subaru/wrx/2015/car-recalls/ repairpal.com/recall/15V574000

@@autos_in_review Yeah I want a more quicker and responsive acceleration from straight line driving I want to feel like I'm going quick I want that slight pick up in acceleration where you kinda get pinned back into your seat it doesn't have to be super fast like a 5.0 just something where I can feel an excitement when I step on it and know that it's got some power it doesn't feel slow but feels quick enough to be enjoyable that gives you the impression and feeling that your car is kinda quick and you can have fun driving it in the city as a daily driver commuter going from point A to B because you get most of the power at a lower RPM and you don't have to Rev it out and be at a higher gear for the car to accelerate like how you want it too it'll be great if you're like in the highway and you got all the space to rev up through all the gears and let the top end of the car kick in but I need something from 0-80mph to feel quick instead of 60-130+mph

@@turbro7185 its not a fast car but it i fairly quick compared to other compacts.WRX is AWD and turbo and make roughly 60 more hp.Apples to oranges.I own a 2013 FB6 and it a drivers car in the sense of handling. But if your looking for drag/speed , this isnt the car.Great daily, low maintenance, easy to drive, checks a lot of the boxes.

@@slowka I want a 4 door manual transmission I like the 10th gen Si but the electronic parking brake holds me back I like the 8th gen Si exterior body style but don't like the interior I prefer the 9th gen Si interior but with the 8th gen body style Evo 10s are too expensive they look really nice but I don't like their interior I like the WRX exterior and interior but I'm worried about their reliability

@@turbro7185 just buy a wrx.. Si obviously isnt too appealing if you look at cars as numbers and brochures. if youre a driver, and can appreciate a car that handles great with great supension geometry from factory and a good baseline to build upon regardless of hp/tq numbers, if you can appreciate the little things that a lot of car manufacturers seem to dismiss e.g shifter feel, pedal placement, steering response etc then the si is for you. i suggest you take both for a test drive and see what you like.

I think if you used less "meme formats" and up production quality, you'd get pretty far in this career. Your voiceovers and demeanor make it an enjoyable watch!
