i feel so lucky sometimes to be old enough to have started my gaming life on an Atari ST in 1987 ish. I was only just 3 or so and remember my dad teaching me how to use the floppy disks and to play games. For years I have fond memories of Robin Hood, Ikari Warriors, Warhammer 40k, Sierra games, James Pond, Desert Island Dizzy, etc.. I remember when the first GTA came out and my friend had a demo version and his PC could run it (lol) - of course in those days they had a literal 300 second timer on a demo, instead of just a slice of the game as a preview like they did in later years...or maybe GTA was unique in that regard. Honestly, it'll sound silly but I remember we were so shocked at the violence in it - of course we were like 14 so we loved it but it was still quite shocking and I remember us talking about "how could they get away with THAT?!" ish stuff. Anyway, I still play games, mostly on PC, quite a bit of VR, and a switch for the quieter nights at work. Video games are truly the most constantly evolving art form on the planet - its incredible how far we've come in such a short time. Heres to GTA 6!

To touch on the mk2 mosquito segment, it was wayyy worse pre-nerf it had unlimited super tracking missles, you couldnt autolock on to the driver and before the health dmg increase to players in vehicles it was almost impossible to kill the driver, truly an unstoppable and the most annoying vehicle in any game ever, then they nerfed it into the ground so its more balanced and fair than before

I have played GTA V/Online since its release. I’ve lived overseas and it’s been my drive therapy for over a decade, 3 consoles, and about $17,000 of in-game purchases. 😅 I remember having to wait an entire year before they launched the GTAO capability. Because I had to wait it, the long way in the middle of the desert on deployment. I’ve played this game everywhere I’ve been in the world since. It’s a masterpiece, at this point I own practically everything in the game. So yes I play, but sometimes I just chill and enjoy the aesthetics.
