I remember when Noggin became Nick Jr. I was 8 years old when it happened. On the morning of September 28th 2009, I turned on the TV, to the channel I would've thought would've been Noggin. The first thing I saw was Moose and Zee singing the blues. When the song was over, that's when the new logo came up. And then, Moose and Zee sang the introduction song to the new Nick Jr channel, and that was the end of the Noggin name, at least for that time.

Noggin was a special case of something we, myself included, should be proud of growing up when we were younger, especially nowadays with Nickelodeon's current status, since I don't think it would feel earned at all if it was brought back as a network. Hi Stagehands Inn! I'll always miss Noggin, I had a ton of nostalgia attached to the channel [especially seeing the 70s Electric Company, Classic Sesame Street, and it helped me watch more Blue's Clues at a time when Nick Jr was only a morning block]. Moose A Moose, along with Nick Jr's Face and Playhouse Disney's Clay, got me interested in mascots. Corporate greed always destroys creativity, especially so if you're a stop-motion company. I'm still angry over what Phil Knight did to Will Vinton, to the point where I REFUSE to watch anything made by Laika. Will Vinton Studios is a really sad story, and I feel like more people need to know about it, as well as Cosgrove Hall. Another studio I would love to see talked about is Filmation, they were pretty infamous for ripping off Disney and they did cut a lot of corners, but also made classic cartoons like The Archie Show, He-Man, and She-Ra.

I was lucky to be one of the few sons of bitches who was conceived at a time when my parents had satellite TV. That being said, it didn't take long for them to introduce me to Nickelodeon/Nick Jr. (My dad was an avid watcher back then, defying the whole "Nick is kids!" mantra.) By the time I was three years old, I was taking preschool classes and couldn't stay for Nick Jr which ran on weekdays only and would kick back to normal Nickelodeon by the time I went home. I did manage to teach myself to operate a TV remote and that's when I discovered Noggin. Diet TV Land for Nick Jr's target audience. Having Moose and Zee whenever I wasn't away was a godsend, even if for the last few hours before the N kicked on by dinner time. Pure bliss before I was old enough to actually watch Nickelodeon. In hindsight, seeing the network be railroaded multiple times since then is sad, especially considering the recent news about it's closure. We'll see you, Moose and Zee.

There was a show on Noggin called Miffy and Friends, which was about a white rabbit who wore a blue dress. On that online drawing space, there were stickers and I saw one of a normal white rabbit. I was just a kid and didn't think much of what I was doing, so I put the sticker on the page and titled it "Miffy with no clothes on," saved it, and logged out. Next time I logged in, I saw that they changed the title to "My bunny" lol. My favorite show was The Tweenies. I was obsessed. That's where my username Fizzypups comes from and I just never changed it after all these years. My channel is also uploads of The Tweenies, though it's the original UK version and not the American dubbed one.

Noggin is and still is awesome. It had such a wonderful and creative vibe. It felt like they wanted to make something to help kids learn while ALSO wanting them to fun doing it, rather than just showing kids bright colors with braindead shows to pass the time. I believe the visuals of the bumpers in between the shows were, dare I say, MORE memorable for me than the shows. And the best part is the shows were amazing too! There was so much variety, and many of them were well written and had pleasing and charming visuals. I think they even appealed to adults as well, as my mom watched them with me. Oswald stands as one of our favorites. Moose and Zee were truly special. I felt like I actually connected to them and remember them as good friends EVEN THOUGH THEY AREN'T REAL! This is really the only time something like that has happened to me for a tv network fictional character. The way they talked and what they talked about was like they actually wanted to teach kids things about the world and see us grow and succeed in life. The songs they sang were also catchy and memorable (they were actual good songs.) The logo of the channel is something that inspires me as well. It was extremely creative and visually appealing, with the smiling face and the thing coming out of the top. The thing would change depending on the time of day or season of the year (a white logo with a drawing of a snowman on top for winter for example.) There were so many shorts and stories they told and so many songs and shows. Plus, they advertised not having any commercials and had fun activities you could do on their website. It not only appealed to kids, but adults as well. When Noggin announced they were changing to Nick Jr, it was a time I actually felt a sense of dread silly enough. I was livid about it. I didn't and still don't know why they would change something that was so good. And ironically enough, this is something that continues today, with the new app version originally looking like the Noggin we all knew and love into something bland and uninspired. But, even though I was pretty upset about it, I'm still happy with the memories I have with Noggin, and I'm grateful that I can always go to youtube to watch any recordings of those bumpers, songs, or shows. Thank you for making this video.

I remember the hearing about Noggin was ending when I was around 5 or 6 I believe, my Mom let me stay up and watch the last ever TV bit with Moose… poetically enough I think it was a camping trip themed bit… He bid us a farewell as he went to sleep. Then I think Universal Kids replaced the channel and I was surprised at how there was no real build up or reveal of what the channel wanted to do. I promptly went to sleep and was sad to see Moose go… I hope he is still enjoying his camping trip…
