I only started playing Fortnite this year and I didn‘t even know the game actually had Lore. Like, obviously some of it is just „cool“ action-movie nonsense to make the game more fun, but there‘s actually coherent, ongoing stuff happening and I‘m fully surprised at that, since a storyline is not usual for round based multiplayer online games. This is great!

@@autonomousfortune753 So, now I watched a bunch of Lore videos and uncut recordings of the live events. If you love old Fortnite the most, all power to you! But possibly it’s also a lot of nostalgia. While I think old Fortnite is amazing, they are still going strong. Like, from a new player’s perspective: The quality of the storytelling and world building are objectively really high up. Gameplay wise, yes a lot changed, but back then it was a new game and concept and Fortnite had to find its identity as a product. I think it’s a great universe they created and there’s so much potential for more. I’m excited for my first time seeing a live event first hand on Dec. 3!

yes it was simplistic until the metas started changing over and over again and the extra stuff getting added and the og textures of fortnite changed. playing before it blew was fun. wasnt a bunch of little kids and everyone jumping on you can say. playing against the chapter one skins were fun and the first bug skin that came out was the raven and them coming out with original skins was dope and at that time grinding the battle pass was just different. the crossover skins are dope too but when thanos entered the game it blew up and it was really dope to be apart of the first events of the game because it all felt natural and not forced and the marshmallow even and the og map was just fun. everyone had there own strategy to the game o where they'd land. most people went tilted, pleasant park, or retail row but places like snobby and junk junction were dope. you just had to experience it. like watching myth and poki. cdnthe3rd and the curse of the torah. the original rocket rides. the og 1v1s in game. aiden defeating nickmercs at tilted. the og music. just too much to say lmao

Season 4 chapter 1 is still my all time fave season of the game. It was when I really started to play the game hard core and I just loved the Superhero theme around it, the Marvel season is a very close 2nd one though. Just season 4 of chapter 1 holds so many memories for me. Its just amazing to see how far this game has come. I love the story telling and everything about it and I have no plans to stop playing anytime soon, this is easily a game that I will play until it gets shut down for good

Chapter 1 season 5 is my all time favorite. It was when I really started to play the game seriously. It's also when I got my PS4 (I have a PS5 now, but at the time, I had a PS4). The first and only time I played season 4 was on my older brother's Xbox 1 ( he has a Series S now). It was also the first time I played Fortnite. I was 14 at the time. Now I'm 19 and turn 20 in December

I just downloaded the game after not having played it since 2018 and it's a completely different game. I started playing when it came out and stopped mid way through season 5 so I didn't get all the stages of the Viking but I do have all of Drift. I also apparently own very rare skins like the Black night and the Reaper. its a nostalgia trip to see reminiscences of what the map used to be.

i dont think we'll ever see a game as influential as Fortnite. Just think about it. OG Fortnite (true OG fortnite) had EVERYBODY impatiently waiting at school or work until they could go home and hop on with the bros and play. Also think about all the halloween costumes that kids continue to wear to this day. And all the different merchandise such as pickaxes, back packs, even the weapons (toy scar's & such.) Not to mention all the different emotes that people do too... AND think about all the tournaments such as the world cup. I seriously doubt well ever see a game do that much to society... Edit: COMPLETLY forgot about Fortnite being the first game to ever have events in game that would change the map (like meteor.)

I remember, in chapter 1 season 7, I woke up at like 4am to do the ice king event. And when I got in the game, the event was about to happen, in like 5 mins, there was loads of people at the top of polar peak, and I got pickaxed to death. So I left the game, and tried getting into another one, and my game was bugging and wasn’t letting me go into a match, because of issues and stuff. I was so annoyed 😅

Fortnite needs to listen to their community since they’re the ones that actually play the game. Everyone’s been telling them for years to bring back the original map and they finally do for one month. Then after that month we’re back to over complicated fortnite with NPC’s.
