Other notable things: When prepping an inventory in 2004, there also wasn't a one click teleport (to my knowledge). Players had to carry runes for a teleport or utilize a ring of life (risky). Amulet of glories existed but did not have the rub/teleport option from within the equipment tab. I have vague memories of even having to take the glory off in order to "rub" it, but I could be mistaken. The dragon chainbody dropped a bit day after day after news dropped that the dragon platebody would be released (2008). The chainbody rebounded in price though shortly after.

I'd normally agree, but the fact they buffed her because they originally wanted her to NOT be solo-able is the opposite of today. With the head being a darn diary requirement, it's entirely intended to be solo now. If they'd just undo that buff of adding the range attack too or something, I'd be happy. This is a miserable boss to grind even in Leagues.

This was an epic boss fight back in the day with a potential d chain drop of about 20-30mill. I wish the d chain was still worth even 10% of that. I never fought her myself until earlier this year because i have like 5 slayer helms unlocked but my personal favorite is the kalphite one which i have unlocked but havent got the head drop yet. The pet is also one of the coolest in the game imo.

kq is only killed on rs3 for the boss collection items on rs3. it also is a lot more fun to kill it these days with necromancy since you dont even need to consider doing a gear switch for accuracy. there is also a couple of acchivement linked to it. it is basicly never killed for slayer xp specificily but players might kill it on slayer tasks for the extra damage and accuracy but longest part of the kill is basicly the transformation part between phase 1 and 2 of the fight. if want slayer xp on a kalphite task and killing a boss at the same time the kalphite king is by far the better choice despite it having a couple of anoying mecanics, mainly green phase that is a insta kill mecanic if messed up. regardless, that boss have some drops that is in the 15-20 mill range and relatively common and you probably see one every 1-2 hour

1st time i went KQ was 2005 , it was with a group of 4 and literally the strat told me, was bring 3 pieces melee gear, and by the end of 1st phase we'd be so low on supplies, that we'd die anyway, so we die , withdraw range gear and more food, and run back to KQ lair for 2nd phase

elder maul was viable for kq before the spec, u had to walk under and trade hit for hit (or flinch) with it so it might not have been the best dps, but it was very accurate and hits hard so it was pretty efficent for supply savings and such

The only pet I ever bothered to grind. I hated every single one of my 1509 kills. I remember watching myself climb into the top 2k of all players on hiscores. To get that high with only 1500kc is proof of how awful it is. But the pet is freakin' sick it was worth it. Going to do it again on Leagues next month. Lmao
