Even the beastmen who aren't undead look skeletal. My theory is that because Farum Azula is a place for dead bodies, and it has a lot of roots of the Great Tree, and the rune of Death is there, the whole place is saturated with death. It's so pervasive that even the living beastmen are slowly becoming undead.

​@@LauftFafa Elden Ring is specifically making it so that the world does NOT revolve around you. It's a uniquely mysterious world. Why? Usually when devs create content, they WANT you to see that content. They don't wanna put effort into something that's easy to miss. So they clutter your UI with quests, notifications, unnecessary details that completely removes all the mystery and exploration from their games. But Elden Ring is the complete opposite of that. Typically you have to WORK for any shred of information on anything. You're never too far from an area that you're unprepared for, so it's got that terrifying element too. That combo of fear, mystery, excitement, and exploration is very unique to Elden Ring, and it's not for everyone

You should put together a hard cover compendium style book that details out the world of Elden Ring....after the DLC drops of course. Hire an artist to illustrate the weapons, armor, enemies, battles, characters, historical events, etc. Include the timeline you and TA worked on. You can have whole chapters dedicated to topics such as characters, concepts, factions, wildlife, geography, and theories. If you decide to take on a project like this you should start a kick starter. Hell, I'll donate right away!

I think you are right about Farum Azula floating is due to an effect of the meteorite. We can see the same gravity anomalies in Mistwoods after the meteorite landed there.

Wow, amazing to see all your Elden Ring work condensed like this! Even just combining these files must have been a ton of work, so I'm not expecting anything extra, but I was curious - did you go back and make any script edits or cuts based on intersecting lore theories? I know sometimes perspectives on the game's elements shifts as you focus on different parts of the lore.

So, there's something that struck me as I was playing today. Something Yura says after the Nerijus fight. When he tells you to steer clear of Agheel lake because a dragon roosts there, he goes "unless you're mad, or wish to be burned alive". It's easy to let that pass by, but it was a Greco-Roman belief that mortals ascended to godhood through willing immolation. The most stark example being Heracles/Hercules, who after donning the robe poisoned with the centaur's blood, builds his own funeral pyre, and steps on it, to end the insane pain. So there's this thread of accomplishing great deeds (12 Trials of Heracles) + *willing* self immolation leads a mortal to ascend beyond death, into godhood. Idk just seems like an odd thing to separate. *If* you're mad *or* want to be burned alive. As if wanting to be burned alive isnt mad, but something desirable for one trying to become some kind of Elden Lord/God thing. Just seems like something to consider, and I have no idea where I'd put this

I love the lore of these games that Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team have created. I am not a fan of this genre as far as playing them (mostly because I lack the skills to beat most of them) but I so love the lore and story of them. The lore is so well done.
