Dark Side of Dimensions is intentionally based on the manga version because in the manga Kaiba didn't watch the Ceremonial Duel and more readily accepted magic due to literally impossible to ignore events and plot points involving him acknowledging it like the fact the Duel Disk was originally created to attempt to keep Pegasus from reading his mind via distance.

@naos8116 they dueled in the duelist kingdom. He had the prototype that Pegasus didn't want to use because of the fact his mind reading had some sort of distance, I guess. He probably secretly bought into the magic thing (that or maybe he thinks cameras) but yeah idk. Makes sense to me though.

Last time I watched Yu-Gi-Oh was what 2008/2009? That’s almost 15/16 years.. my God I’m so glad I found this video, I was a kid who never really understood the whole story, I don’t even think I watched the final episode. So this was great, brought back so many good memories!

I think Atem didn't originally fused the gods 5000 years ago, that's why he needed to seal Zorc instead, as we see that when he does fuse them after relearning his name during the dark RPG arc the fused being, the creator of light, was able to completely destroy Zorc

Loved watching this, though you got some things wrong about the original reign of Pharaoh Atem. He had no control of the Egyptian Gods originally and he also didn't defeat Zorc, thats why he sealed Zorc and the Thief King into the Millenium Ring, sacrificing himself and his name in order to lock them away. In the world of memories things are different due to his modern world experiences and friends. Also Thief King is nameless. His name isn't Bakura, they only call him that because that's what they've gotten used to from Bakura hosting the evil spirit. The evil spirit says in season 1 "I'm not Bakura" and it's obvious how the name "Bakura" would stick out when everyone else's name in the ancient egypt arc has arab origins. Also, sidenote, Marik (and also Odion) isn't tattooed, the scripture is etched into his skin with a heated blade. But I'm a huge Yugioh nerd and don't expect anyone to look that deeply into it haha! Again, great video!

This makes me wonder how important dual monsters are in the Yu-Gi-Oh universe. Every series has a couple secret organizations that if they accomplish their goal, they would alter the balance of power in their time for themselves , and they're using dual monsters to accomplish this. At the same time, children are playing the same game for no stakes. It's like giving a kid, a nuclear bomb and saying go have fun. Except they don't know that it's a nuclear bomb.

It is kinda hard to pin down where yu-gi-oh bonds beyond time takes place due to it time traveling between yu-gi-oh duel monsters yu-gi-oh gx and yu-gi-oh 5ds but it is to pin down yu-gi-oh the movie pyramid of light witch takes place after the events of battle city and before the events of awakening the dragons and the events of dark side of dimensions takes place after the series has finished the yu-gi-oh the movie pyramid of light acts as filler arc side story to tie up any loss ends while yu-gi-oh the movie dark side of dimensions also ties up that the show might have missed

The Pyramid of Light fits in between the end of Battle City and the beginning of Waking the Dragons. Bonds Beyond Time utilizes time travel shenanigans and potentially creates a second Yugi. I can't think of something in the series that specifically works like this, definitely not from the Duel Monsters anime. However, the actual Manga (and the original anime, often referred to as Season 0) was a wildly different series where the plot was significantly different and the Duel Monsters card game was only one of many different games that were played for Shadow Games. In the original manga losing a Shadow Game would often cause the loser to lose some of their mind and the games that were played would range from card games, to Tamagotchi like devices to Yami Yugi saying "We have to try to kill each other only using a single finger". So what you're remembering may be something from the original manga, and not part of the anime canon.
