David I hope you read this: you should be MUCH more positive about your performance on the podcast! Almost every comment on the PBD channel was how they were strawmanning you and you did as well as you possibly could in that scenario. You clearly changed a lot of minds in the PBD audience which is usually right leaning. Well done!

@@tundrastreaming And especially not by gish galloping. PDB doesn't want to understand what David is saying he just wants to get to "that's why socialism doesn't work" . Funny thing is to do that he wants to use the exemple of a private business's mismanagement, he doesn't get that if, as he puts it, a bunch of idiots got to management positions it is precisely a consequence of capitalism not of socialism. Unless of course he believes that the financial industry is socialism ...in which case I'd suggest he might usefully study Marx's economical theory stuff...in a digestible format since I do not believe he'd have the patience for the original works (I never have and yet I suspect I'm way more patient that he ever was).

@weaverdna I don’t think that you understand that wasteful spending has nothing to do with economic growth. You guys have the dumbest arguments. You are saying that rising government debt and wasteful spending don’t matter as long as economic growth is happening. That is idiotic. Imagine if we invested without all the waste. The economy would grow much quicker. Look at all of the examples of wasteful government projects. The 325 million dollar raft (that sunk) they built in Gaza is a perfect example of government spending. There are countless examples of over taxing, and seeing no results. How did California go from a financial surplus to 80 billion in debt? Did they fix the state with all that money or is addiction, homelessness, and crime up? I hope you are just playing dumb. You are literally misrepresenting reality. The government wastes sooo much money, and they keep asking for more. This argument is idiotic.
@Gah1965

Growth > interest cost means it may make sense. The issue is debt as a % of GDP continues to go up. This means paying down debt without liquidating the equity in the economy becomes hard over time. In the US debt as a % is increasing. Which means output growth in the economy is growing slower than the debt base. And it’s over 100%.

Yes. There are two types of people. I thought David Pakman is using tactics, dishonest tactics. If you watch any conversations involving David Pakman, they always go this way.
@Neon_Lotus
@Neon_Lotus 7 ай бұрын
@@darylmixan8170 I see this all the time when people complain about "tactics" or overall slimy moves but nobody ever gives examples. It's all fine and well that you want to have that opinion but if you want to sway me onto your side you need examples of the dastardly deeds and explanations as to why they're dishonest. General, blanket statements aren't good enough.
@darylmixan8170
@darylmixan8170 6 ай бұрын
@@Neon_LotusIt's my statement, not necessarily a blanket. When I list "dishonest tactics" you'll want me to explain them... When I explain them, you'll ask my "why?" And then go into sources and my education. But I'll say a blanket few... - David's constant asking of 'polls' and 'evidence' on subjects he doesn't want to talk about. David asking "who?, which Liberal?" PBD says "many of them" David says "who?" PBD mentions the Liberal CIA guy, and before PBD says another word David says "well that's ONE, right" implicating that PBD doesn't prove anything because it's one... The tactic of rambling and putting his hands out like blockers like "don't cut in, I am just trying to cover my tracks here" Constantly, Constantly pleading ignorance with even simple opinion questions like "Trump invented the 4th one?, you don't think other presidents had the 4th?" "You don't think people voted for Obama just because he was black?" "So you don't believe voters voted against Trump as opposed to voting for Biden?" Pakman is saying "I don't know, I don't have the polls in front of me" David when he is solo on his podcasts dishes out opinions and rhetoric all day long(but the subject is controlled by him) But here he is careful to choose his words wisely and don't go down a road where he is required to give an opinion. The back and forth when PBD is asking him if he ever loaned somebody money, car, bike etc... PBD was making it clear he was going with an analogy, but David was acting mousey saying no no no no no... All because his ego is so sensitive... I could rewatch it and tell you more... But I watch Pakman and PBD, and PBD's podcast is pretty free flowing with conversation, disagreements,opinions, and facts... but you can tell the guest and PBD are honestly approaching the banter... With David, he's holding back, being dishonest, using tactics... Its like watching a person being depositioned... they are giving up the least amount of info as possible, they are playing ignorant, acting like they forgot, using adjectives to make themselves look better, and when something is positive for them, they remember everything and want to talk talk talk.

@@Neon_LotusBut I understand the reason David does this. He has pigeoned holed himself into the Super Woke, Republican Bashing, Trump hating, The Right are all racist hillbilly doomsday gun psychos... and he found his audience using that extreme rhetoric, and it's made him a multi multi millionaire. It's the same exact strategy Rush Limbaugh invented, it's CNN/FOX NEWS, Glen Beck, Don Lemon, Sean Hannity, and David Pakman, pump up the culture war using division and Hate as your main weapons... So that being said, as a political content creator he cannot say anything remotely good about the Right, and he cannot say anything negative about the cult following rules the Woke Left need to abide by or he will be cast away. He made a caricature of himself... and it pays him extrememly well!
@darylmixan8170
@darylmixan8170 6 ай бұрын
@@Neon_LotusI didn't even go into David Pakman's total avoidance (and he does this on his podcast) the total avoidance of talking about the Democratic Party... He'll rarely talk about Biden, or Biden's presidency, the party's plans, the border, the baby killing, or the child mutilation with body modifying... Its sad that the Woke Left has to agree that these are great ideas... I always wonder what supporters would think if it was the other side's main issue. Abortion, for example, if the Right was dead set on celebrating killing fetuses, I always wonder if the WOKE LEFT would be out there standing shoulder to shoulder celebrating killing babies like they do now. I highly doubt it... and vice versa... When you think of what would happen given the opposite, and you think "no way" That's propaganda poisoning my friend. Both sides... The puppet masters have Woke Liberals and MAGA right where they want them. They are mirror images of themselves. WOKE LIBERAL = MAGA. Both brainwashed.

David was calm the entire interview, and I could tell the other guys were getting frustrated because they were having trouble grasping some of the concepts he was educating them on because the right-wing narrative is so heavily focused on "gov't debt bad cause liberal spending out of control!!". That sort of narrative doesn't leave a lot of nuance to understand a more wholistic view of maintaining a healthy economy.
