X-Men villain Measmero switched Spidey and Wolvie’s minds thinking Wolvie was all talk and wouldn’t do shit to him but he still pissed himself whenever Wolverine threatened to kill him several times but suddenly acted like he’s was all big and bad without Wolverine involved and thought messing with Hulk was a funny idea but was scared of Hulk the entire time. Those whole era of Marvel cartoons was really… not bad just soulless. They didn’t have the same heart as the shows from the pre-Disney era. They did the reverse of what Stan Lee did. Made the focus on the mask rather than the person behind it. Like in Ultimate Spiderman it was practically ALL Spiderman and not Peter Parker. And this show… they just didn’t nail the Hulk’s personality like Earth’s Mightiest Heroes did. I don’t want to compare everything to EMH but they really did everything great. Even did the Avengers better than the MCU. This era was just lacking that spark that would’ve made it great too. I think the problem was corporate mandates. Like Avengers Assemble was made only to have synergy with the MCU. Like Ant-Man debuts in the movies and then in the show. It’s also weird how this show opens with Annihilus. That’s not your run of the mill enemy that’s an Avengers level threat. Edit: 56:50 Yes this. I also didn’t expect them to be geared to adults. But kids shows can be good. They can have depth.

I think the 2nd last episode acknowledges how Hulk is different between both teams, Hulk saying he’s more angrier and uptight while with the Avengers. Maybe this gets resolved afterwards. My issue is the Bruce and Betty situation. For some reason, Bruce stays as the Hulk permanently, until he seeks Betty to help de-power himself. But of course he has to return to Hulk and breaks up with Betty again. Then in the Ultron Revelation season, Bruce and Hulk are now able to shift for some reason and Betty is ignored like in the MCU.

@@ghostspider2056 I like the avengers assemble show and spiderman show but there are a lot of continuity errors with this hulk show the spiderman show the avengers show and the guardians of the galaxy show they try to make it just like the MCU but made a lot of mistakes. An example is that ultimate spiderman and the spiderman from show after ultimate spiderman both appeared in the avengers show that was just a stupid mistake

@@joopvanhedel1372 That’s more of a rebooted retcon than continuity error. They tried shifting the latest seasons of Avengers and Guardians to tie with the new Spider-Man series for whatever reason. The animation producer suggested that the universe rebooted after Battleworld was undone, which wasn’t clear in the show itself as no character acknowledged the differences. Yet, Ultimate Spider-Man supposedly appeared in Across the Spiderverse so the original universe goes on, making the reboot pointless. On top of the confusing retcon and change into a simplistic style, it’s no wonder the reboot part didn’t last long. Before the reboot, I think the 4 shows had a solid enough continuity to a degree. It’s biggest errors started to come from relying too much on the MCU, like how the Guardians were portrayed, they started out comic accurate than changed to match the MCU. Klaw was redesigned to match the film version with his claw on the opposite hand somehow. Baron Mordo was race swapped to black. Like no one would notice. I almost believed that if they didn’t reveal Star Lord’s dad before the 2nd film, they would’ve made Ego his dad in the show as well.

Hulk and the agent's of smash was just... Look. There are things with the original comic run that made it interesting with the characters trying to figure out how to function as a sort of family and exploring how Gamma influenced the characters (Gamma mutates all tend to have powers as a reflection of their psychology to keep it brief) as well as just having a bunch of characters adapting to the combination of their condition (Betty Ross dealing with being Red She-hulk was... interesting) modern human society (Skarr and Lira) and that made for a really interesting dynamic because they were able to understand to a degree what everyone else was going through. This show though, just threw all the parts that made the show interesting right out the window so that they could have a show that felt like it existed for the express purpose of selling toys to 6 year old kids like GI Joe or Transformers was back in the 80's but with none of the charm or subtlety and when you're being beat by shows that were made 30 years before hand you have just failed.

The two primary things that were absolutely horrible about this show are: 1: Hulk constantly whining over how he can't be a true hero or whatever because he's The Hulk, yet he literally acts like a normal angsty person who actually never in the show does anything to make him out to be the monster he delusionally thinks himself still is. And 2: This is clearly trying to be some knockoff-hidden Fantastic Four show. Bonus: Like literally every Marvel cartoon starting Ultimate Spider-Man, not counting X-Men, it is somehow contradictingly within the same universe as every other Marvel show that came out starting with Ultimate Spider-Man, not counting X-Men. This is worse than the 90s Marvel Action Hour in terms of lacking continuity and really being connected. The only good thing that came out of this show was its portrayal of Abomination.
