@@natalimoina exactly. Black and White reset Ash so he knew nothing. They fixed it by 2nd and 3rd acts. Journey's was a collection of Ash's best moments to prove Why he qualified for the PWC. Just he didn't really do much in it. It was Goh Pokémon Go gimmick. Chloe was just in the background wasted potential. I didn't mind Ash's matches in PWC. It was in the background while Goh was doing Pokémon Go Catching Pokémon with a majority of them not giving development.

I always knew about the banned safari zone episode but never realized how many plot holes that the several banned episodes caused. We never saw Metapod evolve, never saw where he got a Tauros, and I may be wrong but I don’t think we ever saw him capture the Krabby he used in the Pokémon league (weirdly in a situation where he wins despite being at a type disadvantage using a completely untrained Pokémon only to later lose to a battle where he had a type advantage)

The only thing that bothers me to this day is that Ash doesn't age at all throughout the 25 seasons and stays at age 10! He should've been around 18 or so around the time his journey ended in season 25 aging about 1 year by the time he finished each region! Since you asked what Pokemon I'd take on my journey, I'd take either Bulbasaur or Charmander!

I really got sick of the "team R" trio by the end of season 2, like the writers had no better idea to create a conflict, and you could count on that they ALWAYS will fail!
