To be honest, The Conservatives we’re terrible for crypto already if you had made crypto gains. You used to get 12k gains allowance which has reduced to 3k already. So unless you have made mega gains, you could have used to just take 12k per year tax free. I understand why people are worried about socialism etc, but these changes happened under a Tory government. Also capital gains is not just about crypto, but all capital assets. So therefore they are not going after you because you have crypto, but just assets in general. It’s not a targeted thing at this point.

What's interesting is under the tories, capital gains tax went upto 20% for gains over £12500, to tax on gains over £6000 last year to tax on gains over just £3000 this year. Tories have decimated the tax free allowance by decreasing the limit by over 75%.
