Just recently modding my 4.6 its an absolute monster. its so loud that I feel bad for others when I drive near them, but the random burbles and crackles when you hit it to 4k and definitely the downshifts are mean, best mod for me and not the environment or police or those wanting peace lol!

@@AceAutoDetails From were the secondary cats start back is a 2.5 inch x pipe straight out on the stock tips. In terms of drone it depends on weather, in terms of sheer eargasmic levels of fun it meets and beats!

Sounds pretty, looks pretty, you've got a pretty car sir 😎😅 Yeah I get asked occasionally how I like the Equus cuz there's only one or two more here in the Akron area.. From the data standpoint, They only sold 3,500 Equus's for 2013, over 3/4 of them were the Signature model while the others were the Ultimate. Compared to the Civic for example which Honda sold roughly 330,000+ of those for just 2013.. I'm up to do an exhaust modification to it but I want to buy a full replacement system first cuz I don't want to cut my original one up. These are very rare cars.

Man I've been looking at this car lately and I love it! This and the Lexus LS 460 stole my heart! LOL! I know maintaining a Lexus is hella costly, but my only concern with the Equus is the reliability and the maintenance... I guess what I'm asking Have you experienced any problems yet ?? It sounds nice BTW!

I have a 2014 equus ultimate and the only issues I have had are the a.c not working sometimes and a couple of front air shocks and a compressor replace other than that no issues..I have 75,000 miles on it..

It’s a 2014 and yes the 2016 is identical, you should have the same sounding result with a rear muffler delete.

@@WaynesWealth I just connected a Samsung couple days ago. On your Equus screen go to Home, Phone, Add New without using the knob, select the left button next to “Menu” button on your center console, then Add your phone (make sure your phone is on the Bluetooth screen search screen. Equus should appear on your phone thwn enter passcode 0000 (or the code appearing on your Equus screen) this should connect your device permanently. Next time you enter your car it should pair automatically with 1 minute ( on my car I have to go from Sirus Radio to Bluetooth then it automatically connects) The Equus only allows 5 devices to be saved, if the car has had 5 prior devices saved you must delete at least 1 device to add your device. You delete by hitting “Menu” on the Connections screen and hit delete. Hope this helps

I Love 2015 ‘s and 16’s for the fact that fewer were made. Answering your question, it is not as quiet as before because the rear mufflers are no longer there of course however, it is not obnoxious and I find that you can control the noise levels depending on the gear you are on when driving on manual mode. Getting on it sounds great, city driving comes with minimal drone/noise as well as Deceleration comes with minimal drone/noise and highway noise sounds just right for me you can still have a normal conversation in cabin exhaust is not too loud. California has strict cat rules, won’t pass smog inspection unless it’s OEM or has CARB sticker which no after market cats have CARB stickers! I have another option, remove mid resonator or replace it with FlowFX but i am not looking for more decibles as it will create drone.

@@AceAutoDetails u would have to put a spark plug non fouled on the 02 sensor and it will pass smog test without cats or high flow I've been doing this in California.

Thanks, I purchased Magnaflows but the shop suggested going with a muffler delete after hearing the sound, the whole driving was with the muffler delete.

Thanks Buddy.. yes muffler delete is legal in Cali and most states, decibel wise that’s another story lol Cali decibel noise law is 95 max but Any exhaust work from the catalytic converters and back (catback) does not interfere with emissions hence making it legal in that aspect only. Those R-Specs are sweet, if you want something more fun and quick in corners R-Spec is the way to go I’ve driven both and they are way different the R-Spec is much smaller but in a straight line they feel the same, Equus does have a stronger sound and much more luxurious of course.

@@carsonmeyers5678 Simple..in a word. I do have the engine oil and filter changed at the dealership. The air filter and the air cabin filter can be done at home. They cost is about $25.00 for both and I change them myself at ever oil change. I changed my battery about 3 years ago with an Auto Zone battery If there is any Achilles heel of the car, its the air suspension. Its not a cheap fix at the dealer..about $5k for all four. I have heard people that bought rebuilts and had them replaced at an independent shop and it cost them about $2500. I was lucky in that fronts were replaced under warranty in 2015.
