The Escapists - How to escape San Pancho prison 5 Xbox One PS4

The Escapists is amazing fun but can leave you wondering what to do. Join me as I show you how I escaped the fifth prison, San Pancho. Freedom! This guide is for Xbox One but I believe it's still relevant for PC version too and as far as I'm aware it's the same for PS4. Apologies for the sound distortion at the beginning, this is due to teething problems with Upload 2.0

I liked this prison a lot because during free and work time, there were no guards in the area so it was easy to loot knocked out inmates or guards and it was easy to loot your fellow inmates chests very easily. At night, it was very easy to explore the prison without getting caught. Just a quick tip for you guys, keep the default job as you get a free trowel everyday from it and when you are escaping, you don't need to dig straight to the wall as the mines stop about halfway. You will know if you have passed all the mines because there will be no more mines in front of you.

You don’t actually need to get the clothing room, the guards don’t check the solitary room so you can just use that instead!

Easier Way To Beat This: Dig in the solitary bit as the guards son't check there. Befirend the guy with the job and make him follow you around instead of beating him up or Keep your original job to get free shovels

I escaped simply by going over the West next to a Low-level Vent by the roof and started to cut the Fence but I noticed it had Landmines so instead, I dug a hole under the Low-level Vent and I was right next to the wall when I popped out so mined the Wall then I got out, got to the roof by mining the Low-level Vent in Solitary

Use a molten chocolate on guards to get the red key so you don’t have to dig, make pickaxe and shovel so you can dig through the outside wall

For getting the Tailer job. You can also give them items and be friends with them and tell them to follow you all of Job period and they'll lose they're job and it won't put their opinion down.

Good Job!..Just a note that you can put a poster "behind" you but the icon is tricky to get greenm you need to side step then select poster then the empty gap, its an annoying "bug" that occurs in confined spaces like shown between the tailer ship and utility area... On a side note I find it best to drop the wall plugs in the pocket of an inmate thats knocked out since they are contraband & cant be dropped anywhere, they can be flushed but sometimes the guards trace it back to you if the toilet floods

Yeah, the whip or the hammer are the best weapons in the game. Also, it's far easier to get the tailor to like you so that he follows you round and then you can just have him follow you around while you do your jo, so not only do you make that day's money, you get them fired!

You can also befriend them it's better that way because you can get the job sooner they can sell to you making it easier to set up your escape attempt

guys i have a tip, to make the person lose his job, make his opinion like above 80 (85+ is recommended) and when the job time starts, make him follow you till the job time finishes, his job will go away because he didnt work and you can easily take his job (note:- you need certain intelligence to take certain jobs)

I tunneled north from the solitary room. guards and prisoners never go into it. They never saw it. I passed three mines together, surfaced and hit the wall. Just brought the wrong item lol. Cutters for the fence (Door has a fency look) instead of a pickaxe on the wall. Fail .-.

You can yes, BUT if the prisoner working there doesn't like you for any reason he will rat you out and you can't block the hole behind you with a poster. Again, if that prisoner sees the hole he can tell the guards

You don't need to needlessly knock out that one person. You can tie him up with duct tape or bed sheet rope.

thats what i did because the guy with tailor had over 70 strength and i had about 25 - 30 so i had about 2 hearts when i knocked him out

For rare loot just remember that every time you sleep the game saves and randomly generates loot. So, wake up, check all the loot spots you can and check with all the guys selling stuff. If they don’t have what you want then reload your game. Rinse and repeat until you get what you want

i was lazy and didnt really have good stats and because of that i would get rekt because the guy with tailor had over 70 strength and like 50 - 60 speed so i just crafted a spiked bat and grabbed a piece of duct tape... attacked him, got him knocked out, i had 3 hearts and because i wouldnt be able to fight him again i went to the gardening thingy and grabbed my duct tape... and boom i tied him up and 13 seconds after job time was over he was freed but to late and GG

An easier way of getting the job is to get friendships and make them follow you willingly

More effective way is top make a stop with nails for the truck I can't remember the recipe but it pops a wheel and stops the truck

Flying Sharks if the guards hate you (their names are red) they will be looking for any reason to bust you. Give them stuff until they're at least neutral again. Also if you're out after dark try sheets on cells bars and a bed dummy to buy you more time

Shokanju Mora Yes, but the whip is a lot easier to craft because you only need to use one timber and then you can find a wire and razor blade which is easy to find.
