Katsumi Sakakura expresses "movements, rhythms, and a spirit" in his art based on Japanese traditional culture.
In JAPAN EXPO 2004 in Los Angeles, his Projection Live combined a live performance with images projected on a screen. His show was highly evaluated in the world. He was flooded with offers and invitations from 39 nations. He performed at an opening event in a general meeting of the 128th International Olympic Committee in Kuala Lumpur in 2015.
He introduces "Cool Japan" through his art to the world and hopes that everyone learns about Japanese culture through his performances.
