"The Essence of Time" - New York Staff Band

The New York Staff Band of the Salvation Army, under the direction of B/M Derek Lance, present Peter Graham's "The Essence of Time" at their 135th Annual Festival on April 23, 2022. The piece is based on the all-too familiar passage of Scripture from Ecclesiastes 3: "There is a time for everything and a place for every activity under the heavens..."

Very few Salvation Army bands would attempt this tour de force by Peter Graham but, as ever, NYSB are more than able to play the piece brilliantly
