I’ve never heard anyone else talk about Puffcorn!!! Chester’s Cheese puffs are my favorite version of it because it reminded me of the old Cheetos Curly Puffs :) If you like the Butter flavor I highly recommend the Cheese flavor as well !

I grew up about 5 minutes away from the Herr’s factory. They used to give free chips to restaurants in the area, they also gave out new chips to get feedback before actually selling them on store shelves. They used to do a lot of neat local stuff

It’s incredibly unfortunate but one of my favorites is “Sweetos,” another weird off-Cheeto idea from the Cheetos brand that was cinnamon sugar flavored. What makes it unfortunate is that they seem to be gone. Last time I saw them was on a road trip in a cruddy little gas station. They were probably quite old but I bought every bag I could afford. I've done the Herr's factory tour a couple of times, and they do have a lot of interesting flavors! As a Marylander, I'm obligated to encourage you to try the Old Bay flavor lol My personal favorite are the Honey Cheese Curls and Jalapino Poppers Cheese Curls! Aside from Herr's, I LOVE Zipp's Voodoo Chips!! They're my all time favorite chips, but I feel like not a lot of people know of them.

Herr's Ketchup Potato chips were my white whale. i have a distinct memory of buying a striking bag of ketchup flavored potato chips at walmart as a child, and they were the best chips i ever had. but my fickle child mind had forgotten about them, and i have bought many ketchup potato chips in passing, never finding that elusive taste. but after watching this video, googling Herr's, and seeing that bag once more. i knew i found what i have been craving all these years. thank you ian.

Thanks Ian for bringing awareness to the Great Potato Radiation Scare. I come from a farming family and we suffered through the Fruitsplosion Scare of '97. Farmers' heads started turning into fruits and getting all deliciously juicy in an early 90 CGI way. But the truth got buried hard and Big Snack Industry led people to believe it was just a commercial gimmick. To this day, I still can't eat a Fruit Gusher without pouring out a 40oz Capri Sun for all the lost souls.

I'm from Mexico. Here Lay's is called Sabritas, recognized from the smiling logo. When I was a kid, I loved the queso Ruffles, but in fact I can recall how overwhelming is the stink. I wonder how similar the one you got are from the ones we got here.

The queso ruffles from here taste very similar to the ones in Mexico but I’d give the ones from Mexico the edge cause the queso flavor tastes better in my opinion, but adding some tapatio makes both of them taste great

I get Herr's chips from the gas station on the way home from time to time. Herr's has some of my favorite chip flavors I've had. The horseradish chips are superb. Sour cream and habanero is great. The grilled cheese and tomato soup cheese puffs are so evocative of those flavors that they're my favorite cheese puffs ever. great brand of chips. Never seen the cotton candy flavor before I think my reaction would be the same.

As a fan of the sour cream and cheddar ruffles, the queso ones honestly just felt like the same but with extra flavor powder lol. Which is why I prefer them. Which kind of matches up with my experiences buying chips imported from Mexico. They tend to be pretty generous with the seasonings, so I prefer them.

Also can I just say how much I appreciate the amount of effort you put into your videos. A lot of other KZbinrs feel like they're lazy and a lot of the "relatable" KZbinrs are to lazy to even prepare for the video. For example they'll go "today we're making _ _ _." (Fill in the blank honestly) but then they'll go "The recipe said to use this but all I have in my pantry is this. So hopefully that works." and it's just like, why am I wasting my time? But I appreciate the amount of editing in your videos, and how you never have any dead air in your videos with awkward silence. Your videos feel more fulfilling, they quench my appetite lol. Super lovely video. I'd like to see you review more Herrs brand chips. Don't think I've ever seen those in my country so it's fun to see the different flavors. One thing I will say is that the logo on the Queso chips is from Sabritas which is a LatAm subsidiary of Frito Lay. Perhaps it's a cultural divide thing but I LOVEEE those. They are stinky though I will not lie haha, but to me that familiar cheesy, lightly spicy flavor feels like home to me.

Herrs is a big brand here, Ive been to a factory a couple times and their flavors are amazing. The dippin dots cookies and cream puffs/balls are amazing from my memory, the pizza puffs are aamzing as well and lastly the OLD BAY PUFFS!!! One of the only things that Im happy about living here is the easy availability of old bay herrs puffs. Its heavenly. Also the best cheese snack is whisps cheese crisps, amazing cheese flavor but havent tried anything but the original. The best sweet chip ive ever had are these "turtle chips" that ive called in the churro flavor. I have never had a chip more aggressivly addictive as those. I highly suggest them unless if you dont want to get addicted.

I quite enjoy the mouth feel of the Layers chips, I tend to avoid any cheese flavored chips because they all taste the same and usually have triple the amount of salt of other flavors. That being said the Sour cream and Onion Layers are worth a try

We had those Herr's baby back rib chips in one of the vending machines of the visiting room of the prison I was in. They were good. Side note, you should do a BBQ sauce video, trying out a bunch of different brands and flavors. You are literally the only human being on planet earth that is interesting enough to watch a video like that of.

I would have to disagree on the Ruffle Queso chips. The smell doesn't bother me and the strong cheese flavor with a hint of spiciness makes it one of my favorites. Maybe I haven't tried better cheese chips, but I always grab a queso chip bag when I see one.

I think I know the taste and smell despite not having tasted it or smelled it. If it is that smell that I am thinking lf, then I completely understand why someone wouldn't like it but I enjoy it myself. It's just overwhelming.

Hell yeah man, I pretty much always grab a small bag of Queso during one of my stops throughout my work day, or else at least get the larger size bag when I do a grocery run. Herr's goes for unusual, and doesn't always miss. The baby back rib flavor is definitely a standout. I also remember liking the sweet corn flavor, and the Kansas City steak.

I love Chester's Puffcorn Butter. The flavor and texture are great. Im autistic and have a sensory aversion to the kernels and hulls of popcorn so I'm glad this exists.

"Be cautious of cheese chips" is a rule I have been following forever. They can be very good (Cheeto, Dorito, Bugels, etc.) but some taste like a wet fart

I absolutely LOVE the puff corn “chips”! I will normally get them at gas stations or Dollar Generals before I go on road trips so I normally associate them with being on the road and such. So glad you tried and LOVED them!

Zapp's has some fun flavors in their lineup. The Voodoo chips have a very "All Dressed" flavor feel to me -- which is definitely not a bad thing.

@@yeah2956 they're my favorite kind of chip! I guess that taste is subjective but I recommend at least giving them a try. They have a strong flavor but it's unlike any other chip I've tried. Definitely worth a taste at least.

Just don’t go into it expecting it to be a spicy chip. For whatever reason I was absolutely convinced they were going to be spicy based on the font choice & imagery, and they’re not spicy at all, which led to instant disappointment on my end

Thanks for your review! I just got braces at 29 and was devastated chips were so hard to eat. My daily offender was popcorn as my go-to snack. I read about “hulless” popcorn and assumed it’d be a speciality item 😊 I’ll have to look for it next time I got grocery shopping

Where I live, we don't typically get Herr's snacks, but occasionally one of the local grocers will get a load of them as a special. They recently got an assortment of interesting flavored Herr's cheese curls, including pimento cheese, jalapeno popper, cheese pizza and grilled cheese with tomato soup flavors. We bought one of each, and it turned into kind of a problem, as my wife got obsessed with the pimento cheese flavor, and the rest of us blew through the others as fast as we could buy them. We finally had to declare a Herr's cheese curl moratorium, lest we get out of control. Fortunately, they didn't last long at the store, so everything's OK, now.

POPCORN ADDICT REVIEW: Okay so I watched the video and loved it. I was super intrigued by the puffcorn cause I am an ADDICT for those huge bags of brachs popcorn. I got myself a bag of this puffcorn stuff. It tastes EXACTLY like my favorite butter popcorn. The texture is my biggest turn off for it but I'm just not used to corn puffs. A+ recommendation Ian!
