This feels almost exactly like the movie "I believe in Santa Claus" of Rifftrax fame. It's oddly similar in the film quality, the slightly off adult-ish jokes, the acting and it's even complete with random Africa segment!

@@Reckno64 She's done a ton of voices actually. And singing. She did muscial vocals for the Silent Hill games (most of them), she's doing voices on Star Wars Rebels, Steven Universe, and the new She-Ra series. She was Julia in Cowboy Bebop, and just tons and tons of voices in anime. (.Hack, Naruto/Baruto, Kenshin, Digimon, the list goes on)

Just speaking for myself, but I find that covering games all the time gets old. Especially when you're known for covering a certain type of game or a certain era of gaming. You start to feel constrained and maybe a bit bored, which becomes a huge drain on creativity, so dabbling in your other hobbies and talking about them instead is often hugely refreshing on a personal level. Games are sometimes not even the thing we care about most, it's just what we got known for initially :)
@traceacex8 жыл бұрын
Can't speak for anyone else you listed but if you look at Ian's twitter, he's expanding his focus to get out of a creative slump. Which I'm all for, really. As you say, this is a good episode!

Lazy Game Reviews Love you LGR you can try an old TV show or look at the early videos sponsoring the introduction of the internet/AOL.

I think it's an attempt to branch their brands a bit. Gaming is an enormous sphere now. Once a game is out it's only a matter of time before everyone and their hairdresser's gibbon has reviewed it, and almost everything that can be said about the game is said by somebody. There are also more review channels than ever, it's possible there's some level of worry that videos won't be as entertaining as the likelihood increases that any viewer has seen the game already reviewed 1, 3, 5 times across other channels. It's an immensely saturated market. Thus, to provide some level of variety I think they're trying to branch into generally comedic review, as opposed to solely game review. But that's just my 2 cents, could be totally different who knows, maybe they're just getting bored?

I can wish for anything?!? Hmmm...not clean water for everyone, not homeless people should have homes or even just something like a bunch of money ...how about ice cream! Yes or an invisible dad oh and bring a dead person back alive to help me with homework (not my dead mother) yes yes and the hot lady from a tv show!

Brittany Robenault well you can't just wish for everyone to be rich because that leads to inflation which leads to everyone getting poor. That's what happened to Russia.

And when we're done, before I even THINK about bringing my mom back, I'll give the wish machine that can do absolutely anything to some mustachioed rich white fuck whose job involves diamonds and Africa. I'm pretty sure he has humanity's best interests at heart. Not like he's the kind of guy who'd be the villian in 8 out of 10 other 90's kid's movies.
