Even restless spirits need a place to stay, so this installment of the Gruesome Gulch build is all about creating a run own Victorian era hotel called the "Eternal Rest." This latest structure for the Gulch is the fanciest yet, dripping with gingerbread and milled details in the Carpenter Gothic style. But since this is Gruesome Gulch, everything is just a little off - broken glass, missing boards, chipped and weather paint - and check out those skulls above the windows!
Thanks for watching, amigos!

This hotel came out great! Makes me think that if there were ever a town that deserves a building with a widow's walk, Gruesome Gulch would be at the top of the list.

I’m impressed how with every additional layer of paint and detail your models come to life. Thanks for sharing all the tips.

What is Talenti? I’ve noticed the containers but haven’t a clue what was originally in it! Not being of means, I work out of a massive cache of KFC containers! Ha!

@@tomt9543 It is an incredible Gelato. Sold in most supermarkets, especially those that stock higher end desserts. In my case, my wife sacrifices to give me a supply of containers for my various hobbies.

Dave, another fantastic structure, well done! so much better than the stand in. Knowing when the first draft was not right is a key skill. The window and door details are fabulous. You are the laser board master, to be sure. Thanks again for the inspiration.

Very cool build Dave! Love those windows, the balcony railing, the pinnacle gingerbread and those Victorian decorative rafters. Simply beautiful, although gruesome!

Great looking Hotel will have to try some of that chalk paint like how it looks. I am going to try to make stucco for N scale building I am making. Sand and glue is one on the things I will test out first if it works will add my color to that so hope it works. Thanks for inspiration for trying new things. GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖

The shed at the end shouldn’t be an almost completely missing roof. Mostly rafters and partially collapsed roof on one end. That would be awesome

In watching your last few videos, one detail I have been noticing is the way you position your fingers to grip your brushes and other tools to provide steady accuracy. I struggle with this and find that paying attention to how you do this is improving my own ability to complete detail work.

Beautiful as always! I noticed something. All of the signs on the buildings are mounted straight and level. It seems like some of them would be hanging down by one corner or have fallen over by now. I'm a great fan! I plan on making an open house one of these days. Thanks Dave.

Yes, just my personal preference. I'm kind of a sign geek and I want them to be readable.

Another great build, Dave. Very much do admire your creativity. But dernit... if you keep this up I'ma gonna have to go out and git me a laser-cutter. An' that could over-stress my hobby budget. Which is already on life-support. 😉
