As a v11 rider i can say that 40km/h feels just right for an empty road. Relaxed pose, hands in pockets, no eye-gouging headwind, no "am i at the wheel' limits yet?" anxiety. But in the car traffic i have to be able to do 60+ safely, otherwise i am a liability for everyone else. For sidewalks it's 3 to 30km/h depending on distance to the nearest pedestrian. Holding shwarma and coffee cup for bonus points.

Lots of chuckles Jon, more shots at Tilgate, been riding my V12HT there recently watching out for you. AND, if you are planning a trip to venues with glorious views and scenery like that, I will be your mate, you can bring the rope though.

Great video, as always! Really look forward to these. I've been riding EUC's for about 4 years now. These PEV's have almost completely replaced my car (I only drive when it rains). Might have bought gas seven times in the past 2 years... If the gyrocycle didn't exceed 40 kph this would've been impossible(due to the area I live in). I currently ride the EX20S(hs)(Master Pro V2 coming soon🥳) on 35-45mph roads with no shoulder or sidewalk to & from work 6 days a week & all around town to run errands and go grocery shopping, & sometimes just for fun with the family (My 10-year-old nephew rips on the MSX(100V🤘😎🤙)& even he goes over 20mph... I said all that to say which side of the fence I'm on (since you asked 😇). Thank you for all the hard work you put into these videos (SUPER entertaining)! I thought of another way to say "Riding shotgun", but I gotta keep it clean ✌️😏👍

That’ll be that Ian ‘Lockstock’ Sampon’s shooter, for his next visit to the First Unity bank of Micheldean to “arrange a withdrawal” - he’s a bit too hard up to be paying for a getaway driver, so he’s going DIY. Already got the crash helmet he has - I’ve seen him wearing it - or was that Mario, gone but not forgiven??

Hello. I see you haven’t made videos recently. I hope everything is OK. I’m on month nine of learning my euc. I recently did the Comet trail in Georgia. I’ve lost about 25 pounds with it and I’m in love with it. I wanted to thank you for helping me stay motivated with your episodes. I wanted to let you know that you made a difference for me and thank you again.

That v13 crash was due to leaning way too hard. The dude said that the wheel logged 10kW peak power before cutting it.

Nice job. I do tend to agree that PEVs are getting too quick. I’m not opposed to the idea of faster stuff, but only if it meets the standards those speeds call for. My Dad grew up in a very rural place with lots of Amish around, and they very much opposed when they were required to put reflectors on their buggies. They would tell my Grandpa that they were prepared to meet their end if that was God’s will, and my Grandpa’s response was “Well, what about me?” He didn’t want to kill anybody or get killed himself by some ninja buggy in the complete darkness and hilly conditions that is night driving on country roads. Ultimately the Amish had to give in to the decadent ways of letting others see them if they wanted to ride at night. Same kind of thing here, I don’t want to kill an EUC person (or scooter or ebike rider) who cuts out at 45 in heavy traffic. These devices are not nearly as safe as even motorcycles, and it’s not just the riders business when they are out in traffic.

I do think some models have gotten too big and too fast - but we don’t have to buy them! I love my KS16x and KS 18. Fast enough for me!

Still don't understand why riders don't use lanyards/leash when riding near clifts or open bodies of water....

That's Cooler Joe. He's a celebrity in the USA EUC world. It always cracks me up that because someone doesn't want to go fast, that nobody else should go that fast. Do your own thing man, quit trying to sensor others. I'm sure they said that when the Wright brothers flew the first airplane, or when the first car came out. We ride to be free.

I don't think the speed of modern wheels is a problem per se, but it is annoying that so little development is going into mid-range wheels while the top end goes crazy with speed/power and, therefore, price. The choice right now is spend thousands on a high end EUC or take your chances with a used wheel from a rando. I'd like to see some good new wheels taking advantage of the improvements in technology to make a fast ENOUGH wheel with good ENOUGH range, around the £1000 mark.
@rolleverything Жыл бұрын
Keep making them faster. By default they'll end up being safer too as technology advances. Push the limits. We don't have to ride them that fast, but you'll get plenty of content from the people that do.

The faster EUCs get, the more accidents will happen, the less chance of actually getting a law passed so we can actually ride the damn things!

Sure let's restrict EUCs and e-bike speeds, we need those car sales going up! as they are only restricted by speed signs, what a great idea to legislatively make cars more attractive and suppirior alternatives less attractive.

I have always had the suspicion that 99.9% of those on various forums who claim that their wheel ‘Just cutout ‘ actually cut it out themselves…with no assistance from the wheel at all. I.e. Don’t ride like a dickhead !
